New Diamond Beauty Diamond Eyelash Fixers

As makers of the ever-popular Diamond Lash lashes, and with so many brands coming up with their own versions of lash glues, it was only a matter of before Diamond Beauty added on to its current version. This summer, they've come up with two new items to add to their lash glue line up, bringing the total to 3 types of lash glues. Each retails for 840yen with tax. Most other lash glues (Dolly Wink, D.U.P., Eyemazing) retail at 945yen with tax. The glues are made in Korea.

★ Resistant to water, sweat and sebum
★ Dries clear and unnoticeable
★ Contains hyaluronic acid and collagen
Diamond Beauty's original Eyelash Fixer. It's quite similar to D.U.P.'s Eyelash Fix EX 552 Clear. I've used both, and find that the product itself is pretty much the same, but I prefer Diamond Beauty's version because of the packaging (hehe) and because D.U.P.'s dries up on the tube (glue accumulates and dries at the screw portion) too quickly.

★ Latex-type glue gentle to the skin
★ After removing, glue is non-messy
★ Little burden to false lashes and own lashes, so lashes can be reused more times
★ Dries clear and unnoticeable
The first of the two new eyelash fixers is a latex type one. My favorite lash glue, Dolly Wink's Eyelash Fix, is a latex type glue, and I absolutely love it except for its not being waterproof...But the reusability part is true, I find after removing lash glues like D.U.P. and the original Diamond Eyelash Fixer, it's still sticky on the lash part, which greatly misshapes them...

★ Resistant to water, sweat and sebum
★ Black-type glue to fill in gaps between lashes, giving the effect of eyeliner
★ Tube has stainless steel balls to prevent uneven color distribution
★ Contains hyaluronic acid and collagen
The second of the new lash glues is a black type glue. So far the only black glue I've tried is Dolly Wink's version, but I did not really like it as it was hard to remove from the lash...making it not so reusable. Also, this wouldn't work if you don't use black eyeliner, or if you're like me and like to slosh on a lot of glue^^ With latex/clear glues, they dry clear so it doesn't matter how much glue you use, but for black glue it becomes very visible because they dry black...

What's your favorite type of glue?
While I did  love the original Diamond Eyelash Fixer (used up 2 tubes) I went back to Dolly Wink's Eyelash Fixer because of the trouble the former posed while removing glue from lashes. If you've read my past post on Caring for Lashes, you'd know that I don't wash my lashes with water/soap/makeup remover, I just pluck of the dried glue from my lashes before reusing. Latex glues are easy to pluck off, whilst the clear non-latex types and black types are not so easy because they are still kind of sticky. I'd love to try Diamond Beauty's latex type glue and see how it compares with my all-time favorite Dolly Wink one! Which would you like to try?

Diamond Lash Rich Brown Series ♡

After over a year, Diamond Lash is finally releasing a new series of lashes, the Rich Brown Series~ (リッチブラウンシリーズ) The name is because all the lashes in the series are all brown♥ I love brown lashes, but so far the only ones i use are from the Zipper x Eyemazing collection, so it's great that the selection is expanding. D.U.P. has some brown lashes too, but they're quite on the "safe" OL side and aren't very long or voluminous...

As with all previous Diamond Lash series, the Rich Brown series has 6 types of lashes, and the trays look to be a light light pink, lighter than the Pure series. Each pack comes with 5 pairs, however unlike all other Diamond Lash lashes, these retail at a slightly higher price of 1260yen with tax. Though previous series have all had both upper and lower lashes, this series only has upper lashes.

レディ Eye / Lady Eye
Diamond Beauty's description:
The natural bunches from the inner corners to the center and the volume at the outer corners give gorgeous eyes. The brown lashes give a feminine finish that is not too flashy.

Comments:
This is one of the lashes I'm looking forward to, I like gradating lengths longer at the end, and the spreading out of the lashes at the end look more natural compared to fixed interval/shapes like Beauty Eye in the Pure Series. And of course the brown color is gorgeous~

 アーモンド Eye / Almond Eye
Diamond Beauty's description:
A natural thick design with extra fine brown bundles in the center, for dramatic cute round eyes. Natural bundles for prettier eyes.

Comments:
This is the other one I'm looking forward to, I like the density in the middle! My all-time favorite Diamond Lash, Celeb Eye, also has emphasis in the middle, to bring out the pupils. However these look kinda short...

バンビ Eye / Bambi Eye
Diamond Beauty's description:
Closely-spaced fine brown bundles in the center, to give the illusion of wider eyes. For naturally impressionable cute eyes.

シフォン Eye / Chiffon Eye
Diamond Beauty's description:
The extra fine brown lashes give naturally gentle eyes, as if naturally increasing your own lashes. They casually blend in with your own lashes, for a soft, gentle look.

Comments:
These are seriously some of the thinnest/un-voluminous/un-dense lashes I've ever seen, though I guess they'll look quite natural on!

ロイヤルEye / Royal Eye
Diamond Beauty's description:
Brown lash bundles that naturally adjust the length of your own lashes, casually making your eyes stand out. A design that blends into your eyes, for an elegant finish.

Comments:
These are partial lashes that you use on the outer corners to emphasize your natural lashes to make them look longer.

クラシック Eye / Classic Eye
Diamond Beauty's description:
The slightly stiff brown bunches at the outer corner naturally widen the eyes. Because of the moderate length, they adjust your own lashes without being too long, and give an elegant finish.

----------------------------------------------
The 6 styles are: Almond Eye, Lady EyeBambi EyeRoyal Eye, Classic Eye and Chiffon Eye. They go on sale exclusively at SBY and the Diamond Lash online store from 12th July 2013. It will hit all other sales channels in August 2013.

The photoshoot was only done recently, so even the website hasn't been updated with promotional images yet, so there are no reference pics to see how these lashes look like on the models/when worn. But nevertheless, this is a series I look forward too!

And if you wanna read the image models' entries on the photoshoot:

東野佑美 (Higashino Yumi/ CanCam model)

Diamond Lash to be launched in Singapore ★

Good news for fellow Diamond Lash lovers in Singapore, Diamond Lash is finally going to be available here,  launching at selected JCosmeland corners in Watsons next week~♪  ♫ ♬ One of the best news I've heard all year, now I can chuck my pathetic last pair of Celeb Eye and stock up! I've been trying to "save" and "reuse" this pair very sparingly for the past 3 months! For the initial launch, only the dark pinklight pink (Pure series), light blue (Volume series) and light green (Little Wink series) will be available. Each box of 5 pairs will retail at S$23.90.

Can't remember how many times I've raved about how awesome these lashes are, but they really are! A favorite of gyarus and eyelash users all over Japan and the world, Diamond Lash offers a large variety of styles (30 types/5 series) at an affordable price. Plus the quality is great, they last really long (personally, I can go 2-3weeks per pair with daily use) and the lashes themselves look great.

Top: There was a time when Beauty Eye was my favorite...
Bottom: But then Celeb Eye took over^^

Looking forward to seeing Diamond Lash in stores, it's great that I can now get my favorite lashes locally instead of hoping to go to Japan and hoarding^^ Because I ran out of Celeb Eye, I bought 811 Strawberry Tea from the Eyemazing x AMOYAMO Collection a few weeks ago, intending to switch to 811 Strawberry Tea as my daily lashes...

Compared it with 801 from the Eyemazing x Zipper Collection and don't they look similar? 811 is just slightly longer. I bought these before finding out that Diamond Lash was coming to Singapore, but now that Diamond Lash is coming, I can go back to using my beloved Celeb Eye! ♥

My boxes of Diamond Lash, half of them are empty...
(I've used up 4 boxes of Celeb Eye since 2011

But I can't bear to throw away the boxes because I love this brand, and it's not often I get to restock. I even keep boxes of my old YSL, Jill Stuart and Paul & Joe items from over 5 years ago^^ In my defence the boxes are pretty!

Diamond Eyelash Essence

Diamond Beauty is well-known and well-loved for their Diamond Lashes, and lately they've been expanding their range of "eye" products to include lash gluemascara, eyeliner, double eyelid fiber...and now eyelash essence!

The Diamond Eyelash Essence comes in a white 3ml tube with the Diamond fairy, and features a soft brush that's easy to paint with. It claims that you just need to use it once a day before you sleep, on the roots of your eyelashes, and you will get thicker, stronger, longer lashes! (*´ω`*)♪

Having the "Made in Japan" notice is very reassuring, because I for one am very careful when it comes to the things I put on my face, and more importantly if it concerns the eyes. Japan has very strict laws governing the production of makeup and skincare, so I'm very, very reassured if a product is "Made in Japan"~!

In addition, it's also free from many additives ♪
①Animal origin-free
②Paraben-free
③Mineral oil-free
④Artificial coloring-free
⑤Artificial fragrance-free
⑥Silicon-free
⑦Oil-free

The "soft touch" brush is gentle to both the eyelashes and eyelids.
Diamond Eyelash Essence comes in 3ml and retails for 1,050yen.

I'd really like to try this out if I can get my hands on it! Like all the other Diamond Beauty products in the "eye" range, they're not available here :( Though Diamond Blush, brow mascara and nose powder is sold here, the star item - lashes - isn't...and neither are the lash glue, mascara, eyeliner or eyelid fiber. I'm down to my last pair of Celeb Eye, my favorite types of lashes. Think I've gone through 4 boxes? I wear lashes everyday, and can wear each pair for about 3 weeks. That's how great Diamond Lashes are~! (♥´౪`♥)

The Magic of Diamond Beauty ♡

Wonderful news dear Diamond Beauty lovers; Diamond Beauty is available in Singapore! No lashes right now, but the Diamond Blush (first series), Cream Cheeks, Cream Shadows, Brow Concealer, Nose Makeup and Diamond Puff pressed powder are selling at Haraju-cute, a corner at Guardian Pharmacy selling Japanese brands. Their tagline is "きれいになりたい女の子!あつまれ!All the girls who want to be pretty, gather 'round!" Never thought that this day would actually come *tears of joy* The only pity is that the lashes aren't available (´Д`)

Diamond Lash has always been a, if not *the* favorite lash brand of mine (as well as many other lash lovers out there right?). They have so much variety (5 series/30 types as of now) and they're very affordable compared to other lashes out there, at only 1,050 yen for 5 pairs. And most of all, the lashes are durable and look great! When they decided to branch out to produce cosmetics as well, Diamond Beauty sealed itself as my favorite gyaru brand ♡ And they're a favorite of gyaru models as well, being regularly featured in makeup tutorials in a number of Japanese magazines ♥

These are all the Diamond Beauty products I've hauled from Japan. I love their eyelash glue, it's one of my favorites: waterproof, easy to remove and I love the tube ♥ Slowly and steadily, Diamond Beauty has been adding products to their line. Sadly, it was only after I left that the mascaras, eyeliners and their double eyelid series came out. I really love the packaging of Diamond Beauty products, they're so pretty and I feel like I'm brimming with joy when I use them (♥´౪`♥)

In Japan, Diamond Beauty is sold exclusively at SBY and Donki, with the newest releases always only at SBY. Like the lashes, the cosmetics are great, have a wide range of colors, and really are a bang for your buck compared to the other gyaru cosmetics out there, with a slightly lower price and more amount product ♡ And of course the quality is top-notch ♡ In Singapore, Diamond Beauty is now exclusively sold at Haraju-cute. Although not all products (especially the newer releases) are available, most are! It's so wonderful that many of the Diamond Beauty items that I love that can now be bought in Singapore too ♥

DIAMOND EYEBROW CONCEALER.
The brow mascara is great. Diamond Beauty offers four different colors, including a super light blond/yellow color (01 Creamy Yellow) to match lighter blonde hair, whilst most other brands at most only have up to a medium-light brown. The two colors I've bought are 01 Creamy Yellow and 04 Choco Brown. The brow mascara, or brow concealer as they've named it, is extremely opaque and thick (hence *concealer*), so it's sure to mask your original brow color to match your hair! ♥ Also, even if you have darker hair, having lighter brows can help soften your look and make it more feminine.

I think when people dye their hair a lighter shade, they often make the mistake of forgetting to match the brows, which makes the overall look seem...a little odd/funny. If your eyebrows are naturally dark, brow powder alone won't have such a flattering result, as you can see a difference between the brow hairs and the pencil color^^ How to fix this problem? Brow mascara will do the trick! It also holds the hairs in one direction to make them look more polished.

DIAMOND NOSE MAKEUP.
But for me, Diamond Beauty's nose shading compact is probably the most amazing addition to their makeup line. The colors are great for creating natural-looking "shadows", and everything you need to create a slimmer, straighter nose is there, with two contouring colors and a highlighter ♥ There's even variety by having two palettes, 02 Dolly Nose (left) and 01 Princess Nose (right). In the past, many girls, (including me!) used brow powder for nose shading. Kate's brow palette was the hot favorite! Then it became using contouring powder, Canmake's shading powder was the hot favorite. But now there are compacts specially for noses, hurray!

DIAMOND BLUSH.
Unlike the lighter pinks and peaches of most brands, Diamond Beauty's blush colors are bolder and darker. If you look at all the mode/otona gyaru magazine models from like Happie nuts, Jelly and Blenda, they usually have stronger and bolder cheek colors ♥

Swatches on top (04 Gold Beige, 03 Honey Orange, 02 Apricot Pink); finger-blended on the bottom. Diamond Blush is very pigmented and gives a glowy finish; because the colors have golden shimmer/pearly bits in them such that they don't appear so harsh on your face. 02 Apricot Pink is one of my favorite blushes to use, partly because it seems like a dupe for NARS Orgasm, another one of my favorite blushes (the final one is Jill Stuart's Mix Blush Compact). It gives a natural-looking flush with a golden sheen to it that gives the glow and acts as a highlighter ♥

These were supposed to be a summer limited edition item, but maybe it's become permanent? Great news anyway, cos now they're easier to repurchase! Somewhat similar to Canmake's Cream Cheeks, all four colors are pretty, the finish emits a glow, the texture is smooth, creamy, easy to blend and goes on like a dream. I like to use these after BB cream, then top them off with a powder blush to set it and get more color.

The above are swatches and not blended, and the colors aren't actually extremely pigmented. Obviously when you blend them the color spread out, lightens and blends in with your skin color. When blended, they look extremely natural and not too obvious ♥ They can be layered to achieve greater intensity, depending on your liking.

Like the Cream Cheeks, these were launched in summer 2011 and also supposed to be summer limited edition, but now they're available in Singapore too! I still saw them in the SBY store in Osaka, so guess they're staying for now. Although it's called Diamond Beauty Cream *Eyeshadow*, there's a line below it saying [Face Color] so you can safely use it all over your face should you desire to do so.

Swatches on the left (03 Brilliant Gold, 01 Pink Gold, 02 Nude Gold), finger-blended on the right. The shadows sparkle like craaaazy under bright light ♥ The glitter particles are iridescent and multi-colored, and they shine like diamonds when spread and blended! You can use them under/around the eyes for extra sparkle; Tsubasa Masuwaka does that too! When I saw her, one of the first things I noticed was that the area under her eyes and on her cheeks were very sparkly/glittery. She probably uses the Dolly Wink Cream Shadow, but the effect is the same!

Other than Diamond Beauty, Haraju-cute also features many other gyaru-loved Japanese brands like Bonavoce, Love and Peace, Rose of Versailles and Brigitte, of which Rola is the face of! (♥´౪`♥) I seriously think that the main reason I covet the Brigitte so much is that Rola is their image model hahaha. There's even Mezaik/AB double eyelid tape and fiber, the secret weapon all girls love for creating bigger eyes!

When I first introduced Brigitte before, I never thought that it would ever be available in Singapore. But lo and behold, a few months later I miraculously saw it at a Haraju-cute corner, and actually did a double take to make sure I wasn't seeing things hahaha. No need to pine and yearn for it anymore!

So there you go, a summary on the various Diamond Beauty items I've amassed and used so far. Diamond Beauty is one of my favorite gyaru brands, it's affordable and has variety, and the quality is great. Everything is made in Japan so I feel very safe and assured putting it on my face!

Though it's a pity that the lashes, lash glue, mascara, eyeliner and eyelid tape/fiber are not available in Singapore, everything else is, and can be found at Haraju-cute. For your convenience, here's a table I've made of the Diamond Beauty items available and their prices:

Diamond Lash Little Wink Series ♡

It's finally here~! ♡♥Something I've been waiting for for a long while, a new series of lashes by Diamond Lash - the Little Wink series (リトルウィンクシリーズ). Labelled as natural-looking lashes, as if they're extensions, this series is a line of natural lashes. Before you dismiss it as boring (yes, I find that most lashes that claim to be natural are just boring, either too short, strands too thin or badly spaced, just looking like a mass of thin strands!) these still have volume, thus still giving your eyes that extra pop whilst not being too dramatic for the office or interviews.

As with all precious Diamond Lash series, the Little Wink series has 6 types of lashes, and the trays of the series have their own color - light green. Each type comes in a pack of 5 pairs, with each pack retailing for 1,050yen. However, unlike previous series which have all had 3 upper and 3 lower lashes, this series has 4 upper, 1 partial and 1 lower lash. (I'm really loving the lower lash!! ) So without further ado, here are the lashes from the Little Wink series!

ウィンク Eye / Wink Eye

Diamond Beauty's description:
With crossed strands, they give a natural look, like they're your own lashes but enhanced. It lengthens the outer corners of you eyes, and the outer ends of the lashes are curled for a cute look.

Comments:
I'm liking the look of these, both in the package and on the model~ I like how they're shorter on the inner end and longer on the outer end, and how they're looped in bunches such that the lashes aren't aligned straight, but come out in slightly different directions. Will definitely be picking up a pack when I go to Japan!

エアリー Eye / Airy Eye

Diamond Beauty's description:
With fine strands, they give a natural look, like they're your own lashes but enhanced. Give the look of airy lashes and big eyes.

Comments:
Too thin for my liking, will pass on this ^^

シークレット Eye / Secret Eye

Diamond Beauty's description:
Fine strands with gradating length and density towards the outer ends. Looks like you're not wearing false lashes, and gives a natural look.

Comments:
As with Wink Eye, I like how they're shorter on the inner end and longer on the outer end, and how they're looped in bunches such that the lashes aren't aligned straight, but come out in slightly different directions. These are leaning on the thin side for me though, but I'll have to see the actual product before deciding! They do look really natural and nice on the model though!

ロマンス Eye / Romance Eye

Diamond Beauty's description:
With fine strands, made in a natural design, the centers of each bunch have longer strands, to enhance the pupils and give romantic-looking eyes.

Comments:
Too straight for my liking, will pass on this. I don't like lashes that are longest in the middle and equally short on both ends. I like ones longer at the ends! ^^

ミューズ Eye / Muse Eye

Diamond Beauty's description:
With crossed strands, when used on the outer corners of the eye they give a classy and elegant look. For beautiful eyes, as if your own lashes have been enhanced.

Comments:
This is a partial lash.

ハニー Eye / Honey Eye

Diamond Beauty's description:
Random fine strands, it's like your own but better and enhanced! For naturally voluminous lower lashes.

Comments:
I love this! When I first saw the first pic in the mailer (Wink Eye) I was thinking, "Ooh, I like the lower lashes, please let them be part of the series!" and delightfully, I found out they were, after scrolling to the bottom hehe. I've been looking for lower lashes that give this look, and finally here comes Diamond Lash to the rescue. I like that they're not too evenly spaced or lined too straight. Will definitely pick up a few (many) packs in July!

-----------------------------
So there you have it, the new Little Wink series by Diamond Lash. They will be available exclusively at SBY stores and from the Diamond Beauty online store from 24-Feb 2012. Currently you can preorder them on the Diamond Beauty online store, but they will only start shipping out on 24-Feb. Needless to say, they only ship to Japanese addresses.

I've previously posted on SBY here, and I've listed the store addresses too. I'm so glad Osaka has an SBY! But I do believe that sooner or later, and by the time I go, this series will be available at Donki, like all other Diamond Lash lashes. The 1st two series, dark pink and purple, are available in many drugstores in Japan, but so far the newer ones, light pink and light blue, are only available at SBY, the Diamond Lash online store, and Donki. Latest releases are usually exclusively at SBY and the online store first.

I'm really looking forward to this series, it offers my kind of natural - not the flat, straight, boring, run-of-the-mill "natural" lashes, but ones that are still long enough, thick enough but not too dramatic; more natural-looking whilst still being gyaru lashes For me natural = something like the first three, differing from regular lashes in that they're not as dense or bunched into spikes :)

Currently I'm really loving the ZipperxEyemazing #801, they're like Wink Eye but they're brown! I've gone through all 3 pairs (Eyemazing comes in packs of 3), so I'm trying out other more "natural" options in my stash, cos I'm interning and can't wear something like Beauty Eye everyday! (*´д`*) So I've been alternating Sexy Eye and Girly Eye ♪(´・ω・` )

Diamond Beauty New CM, Promo Images, Site Update & Model Recommendations ♥

In conjunction with the release of the new commercials, Diamond Beauty recently updated its website, it's just so cute and colorful now! Before reaching this screen a door opens up and all sorts of dessert and sweets pop out~

Anyway, they've basically done up a new round of promotional images for the 3 newer series (purple, light pink, blue). I guess the oldest series, the dark pink one, is really kinda old so they're not really focusing on promoting that right now!

So, under the "Special" section there are videos from each of the models introducing types of Diamond Lash they recommend from the series they're modelling for. You can watch the 9 videos here.

READY GLAMOROUS SERIES (Purple)
I think the checkered theme is really adorable!

New 2011 commercial for the Ready Glamorous series

Araki Sayaka 荒木さやか (ageha model) recommends Cat's Eye (upper) and Princess Eye (lower). She says that Diamond Lashes are soft and easy to use.

Minemura Yui 峯村優衣 (nuts model) recommends Cat's Eye, saying it gives a strong look and is good for photoshoots. For bottom lashes she recommends Natural Eye, as it looks natural and is easy to use.

Nemoto Yayoi 根本弥生 (aka Nemoyayo, Egg model) recommends Glamorous Eye, which is good for achieving the big eye effect, and making customized lashes. For lower lashes she recommends Sweet Eye, because you can adjust the length to fit your eyes. She also says that Diamond Lashes are easy to use.

PURE SERIES (Light pink)
Hehehe the first thing I noticed was that the pink group didn't have as much hair accessories or big bows as the purple or blue groups in their checkered outfits^^

New 2011 commercial for the Pure Series

Yamamoto Yuki 山本優希 (Jelly model) recommends Beauty Eye (my favorite!), saying it's great for tare-me (droopy eyes) and that it's cute. For lower lashes she recommends Baby Eye, which is so natural that she'd even recommend it for adults/OLs.

Higashino Yumi 東野佑美 (Blenda model) recommends French Eye, which is natural yet voluminous, and Model Eye for lower lashes.

Sano Yukiko 佐野有妃子 (aka Yukinoko, Popteen model) recommends Girly Eye for grown-up looking eyes that are girly. For lower lashes she recommends Feminine Eye, which come in separate pieces instead of a whole band. Use both to achieve large round eyes.

VOLUME SERIES (blue)

New 2011 commercial for the Volume Series

Sakamoto Remi 坂本礼美 (Jelly model) recommends Celeb Eye for upper lashes and Cool Eye for lower lashes. Use both to naturally achieve big eyes, even with karakon.

Yakuwa Satomi 八鍬里美 (aka Satomin, ageha model) recommends Rich Eye (upper) and Cute Eye (lower) for doll-like eyes.

Saito Natsumi 斉藤夏海 (Ranzuki model)recommends Sexy Eye and Charming Eye to achieve natural tare-me (droopy eyes).

ETC
Nishikawa Mizuki 西川瑞希 (aka Mizukitty, Popteen model) She's listed on the "Special" page but she doesn't have a video, and neither is she featured in any of the commercials....

Personally, I love the new promo images They're colorful and visually attractive :D Though it's kind sad that there're no new products. Still, the existing Diamond Lash lashes are by far some of the the best I've ever come across. I love using them, the variety is great and so is the quality and durability!
