GD&TOP and Seungri at F1

Last week on 23rd September, Big Bang's GD&TOP and Seungri came to Singapore to perform at the F1 Singapore Grand Prix ♥ Walkabout tickets for Friday were only S$38, and they were scheduled to perform at 11:10pm. However to access to the area around the stage was limited to 2,000 people, and wristbands to enter the area would be given out from 3pm on a first-com-first-served basis. Needless to say, of course we went there at 3pm to get the wristbands :D

At 11:10pm the deejay kept stalling and playing random stuff and 2NE1 songs. The actual "performance" only started 15 minutes later, with Seungri's solo songs.

There were 2 large screens, one on each side of the stage. The stage was T-shaped, and we were near the tip of the T. Meaning, it's close only if they walk out. Other than that, looking at the screen would give a better view :P

The lights system was awesome!

For this shot, I swear Seungri was pointing straight at my bling-ed camera (cos it's really sparkly, especially with the wonderful lighting system) but the over-zealous young girls in front just wouldn't stop waving and banging their light-sticks in front of my camera!!! Hence the yellow blur :( He's looking and pointing at my camera okay!

After Seungri sang VVIP, Strong Baby and What Can I do, it was time for GD&TOP!

They performed Intro, Knock Out, Oh Yeah and my favorite, High High.

Inconsiderate fans brought balloons, which greatly obstructed the view of 10,000+ people behind. Luckily I wasn't behind them! Though my (camera's) view was still blocked by the light-stick girls.

One of the ments during the performance where they introduce themselves and say random things in English. GD does most of the talking though, TOP just says hi!

They made good use of the lights and the backscreen.

Charice didn't really use the backscreen so it wasn't as visually spectacular ^^

For the encore, the 3 of them did "How Gee".

Bet Seungri couldn't stand the heat and humidity, so he took of his suit jacket and rolled up his sleeves.

GD probably couldn't take the heat and humidity either, so he took off his colorful coat.

Perhaps TOP could take the sweltering heat and humidity, he kept his jacket on.

GD + TOP + Seungri = awesome day!

The end. It ended 5 minutes early so I think their actual performance was only 30+minutes instead of the intended 50. But, it was a great performance!♥ I hope Big Bang comes to do a full-length concert someday!

Akita Kantou Festival 2011 ♥ 秋田竿燈まつり

This amazing guy took out and performed with not 1, not 2 but THREE umbrellas WHILE balancing a 50kg bamboo pole (oowaka)! The Akita Kantou Festival originated in the 18th century, and is now one of the biggest and most important summer festivals in the Tohoku region. Performers balances huge, heavy oowaka with lanterns with their foreheads, hands, shoulders or hips. These poles can weigh up to 50kg!!

Of course there are smaller versions (kowaka/youwaka, depending on age), for little kids to take part and try their hand at balancing. A lot of skill is required, and the performers really take pride in their abilities.

A bit dark, but focus your attention on the guy in the middle. Yes, he is balancing that whole big pole of lanterns on his FOREHEAD. Amazing isn't it! This was one of the bigger and heavier poles, so the performers must've been really seasoned!

A very beautiful and touching night indeed. Seeing the sense of teamwork and community spirit while watching the whole group working together to make a performance go well, supporting each other and ensuring each other's safety really makes you feel warm inside thinking about it^^

Donki loots ♥

In the previous post, I introduced the wonderful Donki, so now this post's gonna be about the wonderful things I hauled from there^^ This is a combination of 4~5 trips to Donki? Each time I step in I feel the itch to try something new (♥´౪`♥)

This is Multi-Natural (for normal~dark skin), the other version's Light Natural (light~normal) I think? I got the darker version so that I can try to have a "tanned" look haha. Anyway I LOVE this powder, it finishes matte, no shimmers! (♥´౪`♥)

I don't know how they do it, but perfumes in Donki are extremely discounted, even cheaper than Duty Free prices! (Same for alcohol, it's also cheaper at Donki than the airport if anyone's wondering

This supposedly retails for 5,250yen, but was only 2,480yen at Donki. Ferragamo's Incanto perfumes were also cheaper at Donki than the airport, I noticed because I bought 2x30ml bottles of Incanto Shine for SGD$91 at Changi Airport's Duty Free, but at Donki a 30ml bottle was 2,000+yen. (SGD$30+).

So if you wanna buy perfumes or liquor, go to Donki instead of Duty Free! You can claim tax-exemption too if you spend over s certain amount.

Different colors for when my hair is differently colored. I actually wanted to get the Palty brow mascars, but I didn't buy them the first time I saw them, forgot which drugstore sold them, and Donki didn't have them (´Д` ) So got Heavy Rotation instead.

Eyelash Laboratory, aka EyeLabo lashes. Retails for 1,050yen, was 980yen at the Ikebukuro and Shibuya Donkis, 798yen at the Shinjuku Donki. Close-up pictures in my lash haul/lash sighting post.
