MARBLE Collection 2012 in Singapore

MARBLE Collection is a fashion entertainment event showcasing the kawaii fashion cultures of Harajuku, Akihabara and Shibuya. Last year it was held in Shibuya, and this year it came to Singapore on 11th November at the Max Pavillion, and was part of AFA 2012! ♥ (Posts on AFA 2011 herehere and here) Needless to say, it was amazing!

This year's lineup of models featured Pikarin (Shiina Hikari, 椎名ひかり) and Natsuko (松本なつこ) from Popteen; Akipoyo (Ishikawa Akiko, 石川晶子) and Chinpan (Koike Mayu, 小池真友) from Ranzuki; Una, Seto Ayumi (瀬戸あゆみ), Yano Anna (やのあんな) and Yura (ゆら) from Zipper; and Tenchim (てんちむ).

The promotion/opening video.

Evangelion segment!
Didn't get to catch much of this segment on camera though (・x・)

But I got and loved the Shibuya segment, it was so colorful and cute!

Kawaii deshou?
Shibuya team: Akipoyo, Natsuko, Pikarin, Tenchim, Chinpan.

Felt like a noob seiza-ing (kneeling Japanese-style) by the stage with my bling camera while the pro photographers had their huge lens (^^)

Performance by Love La Doll
They performed two songs, Luka Luka Night Fever and Honey Bee.
Their dances are really kawaii! (♥´౪`♥)
Found their dance tutorial for Honey Bee. (Looks like they're dancing in a salon...interesting ha!)

With the three girls of Love La Doll: Lee (purple), Aya (pink) and Kana (blue).
They also modeled for the Candy Girl segment later.

First part of the Harajuku segment.

Akipoyo

Seto Ayumi

The gothic/lolita segment; such pretty and intricate outfits!
They look like dolls ✿

Yura

Yura and Yano Anna.

Candy Girl segment,
based on characters created by Amano Yoshitaka (天野喜孝), illustrator for Final Fantasy.

Everyone coming out as the show ended.

 Pikarin ♡
She's so tiny and adorable! Felt like a giant next to her (^^)

Peace from Kana of Love La Doll~

Ginyu Force (ギニュー特選隊), an otagei dance group.

Otagei (オタ芸) refers to the cheering and dancing gestures done by fans of idols singers/groups, which usually involve arm-waving, jumping and clapping. They actually opened the show with their performance, but I didn't get good pictures then. These are clearer!

Tenchim
She was acting in the skit for the show, along with the guys from Ginyu Force. The entire event was actually telling a story of sorts, with skits in between the catwalk and performance segments, which made it quite interesting!

Waving goodbye as the show ended.

Natsuko and Chinpan ♡ They're such lovely girls!
Randomly received milk candies from them  ε(๑^ᴗ^๑)з

Caught a pose with Ginyu Force as they were walking out.

The models, Love La Doll, Ginyu Force and Kikki (guy in the sparkly suit)

All the models, performers, dancers and the producer doing a heart pose ♡

The show was partly sponsored by Prisila (the wig brand), and they had a booth at AFA2012. Though they weren't selling the regular line of wigs, but instead wigs for cosplay as AFA is an anime event after all, there were still a few "normal" looking ones. By normal I mean not blue/green/pink/orange (^^). And there was 15% off for people who went to the fashion show!

Bought a short wig from Prisila!
Sadly they ran out of the long one in this color, so I got the short one (^^)

Couldn't resist the urge to buy nekomimi (cat's ears) and the cat's paw as well, there were so many booths selling them at AFA! There were also lots of booths selling swords, anime merchandise, figurines and etc. Anyway, I haven't had short hair in ages!

Tried the nekomimi with one of the long wigs I have. The material of the cosplay wigs and the regular wigs are different, the cosplay ones feel more plasticky? And they're not heat resistant so no curling/straightening irons! Nyan! Post on AFA 2012 coming soon! ☆

Paris Kids ♥

Paris Kids stocks a cornucopia of cute accessories,
be it earrings, necklaces, hair accessories, bracelets, straps etc,
and everything's 315yen!

Paris Kids has only one store, at Harajuku's Takeshita Doori.
It's on the left side, near the beginning of the street when you exit from Harajuku station.

Their shopping bag looks like this.

First haul!
Super big black bow, floral scrunchie, faux pearl necklace,
pink chiffon flower clips, plastic flowery bow handphone strap,
teardrop necklace, beige hair clip, "love" clip-on earrings.
I really like the plastic handphone strap!

Second haul!
Heart-shaped keychain with rosette and blinged bow details!
Clip-on mini straw hat, sakura hair clip, lace headband/neck ribbon.

When I first bought these, I didn't realize they were clip-ons :(
I really like the design, but clip-ons are kind of painful for me,
it's like squeezing your ear lobe :/

Bow bracelet

Teardrop and bow necklace

Clip-on mini straw hat
Love the pink flowers and the lace!

There are two clips underneath, on on each side~

Beige hair clip.
I like filigree designs

Earrings.

Lace headband/neck ribbon.
I guess you could wear this on your head or around your neck!

They update their range of items in the store pretty quickly,
so if you step into the store and see something you like,
you'd better grab it while you can (:

The quality is pretty decent, none of the items I've bought have broken yet^^

Paris Kids has a Rakuten store if you wanna see more of what their accessories look like.
It actually seems that their online store has more variety than the physical store.
However, it does not ship overseas directly :(
But it's still nice to browse though!

Fancy Pocket is great on the pockets! ♥

Introducing Fancy Pocket~
It sells mostly hair accessories produced by Sunhoseki.
They also sell items for decorating bags, keychains, stickers, deco goods.
This store is the one on Takeshita Doori in Harajuku.
It's located on the 2nd floor so you have to climb up spiral stairs.

The interior is an inviting pink, just welcoming you grab more and more! You might think that it's targeted at younger middle school kids, but adults can find things they like as well! They have lots of cute stuff (: You'll often see mums and daughters shopping here together, or groups of young schoolgirls shopping together.

Section by the window (where the girl with the backpack is) is where they have tubs and tubs full of moco moco (fluffy material) pompom hair ties! In a variety of different colors~ I was tempted to get all cos they're really cheap, but I knew I wouldn't use all the colors so...I restrained myself. On hindsight, I should've just gotten them!

(Small) bunch of hair accessories I got on my first visit~

The shopping bag is pink!
And has lotsa cute little motifs on it (:
Bears, bows, musical notes~

Stuff I bought the first time I went there! 18 items!

The mini pompom hair ties were....only 30yen (US $0.37)each!
Larger ones were 50yen each!
Big fluffball hair tie was also 30yen each!
Leopard print usamimi was 190yen.
Hairbands were around 200yen each.

See how amazingly awesome this store is~ :D

The stuff I bought the second time I went to the store.
(Yes, I haaad to go back on my last day to hoard more items!)

The scarves were only 160yen(black) and 320yen(white)!
The small polka-dot bow clips were 100yen!
The hard plastic ribbon clips were 360yen, they're really pretty!
The big polka-dot bow clip was 220yen.

These are badges to pin onto your bag to decorate it (:
But the floral bow has a clip on it too, so you can put it in your hair~
These were 190yen each. And they're quite big!

I had this obsession with moco moco items,
I really love how soft and colorful they are!

The 3 on the left column are from a 100yen store in Ikebukuro. In the middle column, the top bunch is from Fancy Pocket, the middle one, from Pink Latte. It's my favorite cos it has a pink satin bow and a gold heart charm on it too! But a tad pricey at 630yen. Pink Latte has loads of cute hair accessories, but they're quite pricey. The quality if good though, and the pompoms are dense and beautifully round! The bottom one is from SBY. This has the largest and fluffiest poms! The right column is all from Fancy Pocket!

My lovely moco moco family stuffed in a pouch. (I was packing my luggage and they all fit nicely!)

Granted the quality is not excellent, but it's decent and won't fall apart ☆
