Shoes + stationery + JYJ love ♥

Look what came in the mail? Latest haul from Gmarket~ Made its way to me just in time before the New Year delays! So I got the JYJ Music Essay I've been waiting for it to come out since I heard the songs from the Seoul Concert! Also got 3 pairs of heels (wedges actually), another bag from Suanna, necklaces, a bunch of colorful pens and a diary which came with a ton of freebies. Gotta love the generous seller.

The box this time was so huuuuge! I could fit into it! (albeit uncomfortably) It was almost 9kg, but most of the weight was probably the multiple boxes...and the weight of the shoes.

The individual boxes inside. It's only half full, actually there's still a lot of empty space!

First pair of shoes Black wedges with gold studs from Heeltown.I love this for the different sized studs, the zip-edged cross straps and the side zip with fringe tassels. Plus points for the straps going above the ankles. These are actually wedges so they're really comfortable to walk in.

Picture of them worn. Pardon the angle cos my mirror is attached to the door of my cupboard so I can't take pictures with it, so I can only take a photo of me looking down at my feet ^^ These were a steal at 8,500won, inclusive of domestic shipping charges of 2,500won. I think they were clearing summer stock, most of the other non-winter shoes were OOS.

The other 2 pairs of shoes I got were from the seller Paris Avenue. Their shoes, especially the wedges are lovely! They have such pretty designs which come in nice colors. The material for most of their wedges is suede. They were around 21,000won each. But the quality/sturdiness is better than the Heeltown pair. The fit as well.

For heels/open toed shoes I'm a 39 in European sizing, 6 for UK sizing, so I got a 250, which is usually the biggest size for most sellers on Gmarket. Sometimes they fit well, other times they don't, it really depends on the seller. I'm glad to say that Paris Avenue was absolutely perfect for me

The first pair I got's called "Tommy London". I originally wanted black but that was sold out. Anyway I already got a black pair (the studded ones from Heeltown) so I thought I'd try navy. And oooh isn't the color pretty I'm glad I got it!

Picture of them worn. These go above the ankles too! Makes your legs look longer hehe. I think. Doesn't it? There's a zipper at the back so you don't actually need to buckle all the straps to put these on. Like I mentioned, sizing for this brand/seller is great!

Side view! These are wedges The padding/material of the sole makes it super comfortable to walk in. And the wedge part is covered with the same navy suede material as the rest of the shoe. Which is great cos sometimes for other sellers/models the top half of the shoe is one color, but the bottom half, the wedge, is like cork/straw or black. But for Paris Avenue all their shoes have colored wedges/wedges covered with the same material as the rest of the shoe. Red, purple, brown, navy, black etc

The second pair I got from Paris Avenue, "Megan" in brown These have laces in the front and a zip at the back. You can wear them either way, either by using the zip or by tying/untying the laces. I like using the laces!

Picture when worn. The height of the heel is the same as "Tommy London", 10cm, but the straps/top of this pair ends below the ankle So it's more casual hehe. Once again, they're very comfortable. And they make your ankles look thin (: Again that's what I think haha. But my legs don't look as long here as they do in with Tommy London so it's not a delusion right!

Side/closeup view. The heel is covered with the same material as the rest of the shoe. Brown suede. These are uber comfy and the sizing and fit is great too!

I've gotten 2 other pairs of heels from 2 other sellers in previous orders from Gmarket, (Sinnanda and Heelda), all in 250 as well, but the cut was always a tad tiny so I'd end up with blisters :( The Sinnanda pair was due to the strap at the front, after walking a long time the top of my toes/side of little toe got blisters. Both pairs had zips at the back which weren't comfortable, cos I think the shoes were a bit short, and they ended at the ankle, so I got blisters at the back of my ankles because the top of the zipper cut into the back of my ankle. But the ones from Paris Avenue are perfect and aren't tight in any places. And even though Megan's zip ends at the ankle, it doesn't cut into me. The Heeltown pair's a bit short (ie front toes stick out a bit) but that won't cause blisters, cos the strap's not tight, the zip's at the side and the whole shoe goes above my ankle. So, I love it~

Got more necklaces from Jenashop. Another owl and a big round pendant. This owl has a more delicate feel than the previous leafy owl. The ribbon hair tie was a freebie with 2 necklaces purchased

Close up of the pendant! The stones surrounding are set one by one, so this necklace will spruce up any plain outfit (:

And I got another bag from Suanna~ After seeing how great the quality of the Angel Wings Big Bag was, I decided to get another bag from Suanna. This time I got the Katharine Mash Bag Season 2 in Mocha Chocolate. Season 2 has the front pocket/bow/lock thing, the season 1 version doesn't. When I bought it it was 37,800won, but now it's selling for only 29,800won! Guess I don't feel too bad since I got it for ~32,000won after using coupons. It comes in other colors like white, black and smoky violet, which looks like gray.

Like all Suanna bags it came with a large dust bag with the words Suanna Black Label.

The interior of the bag. This is probably the most true to the color picture. The Katharine Mash Bag doesn't have as many compartments as the Angel Wings Big Bag, but it still has a zipped compartment and 2 pockets for phone/ipod. And there's outside compartment at the front of the bag. This bag is a shoulder/tote bag and has a zip closure for the main compartment.

The outside compartment/pocket has a magnetic closure ♥

Another view of the interior. The inner lining is really nice! (The color in this pic is a bit off, see the 2 pics above!) It's soft and satiny and of good quality. Most bags on Gmarket usually have the thick cottony/linen/rough lining that's either black or in some print that doesn't match.

And this one came free with the Katharine Mash Bag! I don't know what the name of this model is though. It reminds me of a bucket bag due to how it's closed, the gathered top. It's made of a satiny material, really soft. You probably shouldn't use this for heavy stuff. The quilted part at the bottom is somehow reinforced I think, the material's a lot thicker than the non-quilted part at the top.

And even though it was free, it came with a dust bag as well~

The inside has a zip compartment as well~ And mobile phone pockets too. It's really...orange. But oh well it was a freebie and I'm sure I'll find some way to match it with something! (:

And my beloved JYJ Music Essay. Which I was dying with anticipation waiting for And after it came I just couldn't wait and already posted a separate, more detailed post here!

The back side of the box/package.

The planner and the 4 bookmarks! 1 each of the members and 1 group.

The CD and lyrics booklet at the back.

Got a set of Staedtler pens in a hot pink casing~ 20 pens! I actually got another set a few years back, but obviously they've been used up and when I saw these on Gmarket I just had to get them. Got it at 13,000won from the seller Lovepen.

The case can be unrolled to this! Each pen has it's own band holder so it won't slip And there's a detachable zip case on the left, beside the yellow pen. (It's kind of cut off in the pic, you can see half of it ^^)

And onto the diary! The seller, CMtoo, taped the box with this pretty pink and white checked tape

I got this Edge Calligraphy diary and sticker set. The diary comes in a box, and the sticker set comes in its own plastic.

And these were freebies! Just for that diary+sticker set! The seller kindly gave me a mini -hanging calendar, a passport cover from Mono Village, a set of adorable post-its from the same brand as the calendar, a card holder, and a set of stickers. How generous!

The diary itself came in a box, and came with a clear PVC cover, 2 sheets of stickers, and calendar sheet cards. The 2 sheets of stickers that came with the diary are different from the sticker set.

This was a very very satisfying haul Well, it wasn't really a haul cos I didn't get that many items, but the stationery freebies and 3 pairs of wedges made it seem like a haul ehehe. And no I haven't bought much clothes from Gmarket since summer because all their clothes now are thick, woolly winter clothes...which will totally kill me in Singapore's heat! Although I really really love the winter shoes :( But I can't even wear closed shoes (other than flimsy thin flats) here without my feet feeling like they're in a sauna! So I'm just waiting for the pretty spring dresses (:

JYJ Music Essay! ♥

Guess what came in the mail today~? (Clue: Read the label!)

The other side of the package. Neatly wrapped.

Tada~! Yupp, it's the JYJ Music Essay: Their Rooms! Comes in a clear plastic box. I've been waiting for it for aaaages! Pre-ordered it on 11th Jan. It was supposed to be released on 17th Jan, but the release got delayed by a week to 24th Jan. Anyway, I received it today

The back side. This picture is actually on a sheet/card that's separate from the book/diary itself ^^ So no, this is not the picture at the back of the diary. The back of the diary is brown, like the front. No pictures of the boys on the front or hind covers! So it looks like a regular diary from the outside, but on the inside... The bottom right corner says it's 27,000won, but on Gmarket it was selling for 24,300won.

The book and the 4 bookmarks! There's a bookmark for each of the members + one group bookmark. The back side of each bookmark's a to-do list. So the book's basically a diary/planner, with yearly/monthly/weekly pages, with pictures of and essays by the boys scattered here and there. The first third of the book is Jaejoong, the second third is Yuchun, and the last third is Junsu. Starting from the front, the first 10 pages are group pictures, followed by the yearly calendar plan, then a couples of pages for goals and purposes for the year. Then comes 10 pages or so of essays/words by JJ, followed by 4 months worth (month+weekly) of planner pages with pics of JJ. Then 10 pages of Micky's essays/words, followed by 4 months with his pics, then 10 pages of JS's writings, then 4 months worth of pages with JS's pics.

Example of a JJ pic The pictures are basically of them in rooms/houses? Sitting, standing, reading, relaxing, with pets, with coffee, with a bed :D Sometimes there are words accompanying the pictures, in English, in Korean or a mix of both. Some of them are quotes from their Twitter.

A Micky pic~ The beginning of each member's section starts with a page like this, Essay written by xxx. Then pages of essays they write, or lyrics of the songs they wrote for the album. The essay section has concert pics.

A Junsu pic! See the Saturday/Sunday? The pictures are really randomly scattered so there's no fixed format or size of picture. But they're on every page hehe.

So all the way at the end of the book is the CD! Plus a lyric booklet. The CD is tucked in an envelope stuck to the back of the book, along with the lyric booklet.

The credit section of the lyric sheet. See the names for the PRODUCER, DIRECTOR, ALL LYRICS & COMPOSED BY, and ARRANGED BY portions? 김재중 , 박유천 , 김준수 Makes me feel so happy seeing that~

Lyrics for one of the songs, Pierrot. Written and composed by Jaejoong I loved this song the moment I heard the Seoul Concert version. I love the melody and the lyrics. Even the name Pierrot is meaningful. However I think the concert version sounds nicer, the CD version has too much music? The noise is a tad overpowering. For the concert version, the vocals are the focus so it sounds nicer IMO Anyway, the boys always sound better live

Oh and I like Mission too, it's catchy! Mission's composed by Junsu and lyrics by Zuno, his twin! And Nine is a slower song that's lovely as well, written and composed by Jaejoong. Fallen Leaves is a slow, pretty ballad, love it too, written and composed by Junsu. IDS is upbeat, it was my 2nd fave after hearing the concert version, but again the concert version sounded better to me. Written and composed by Jaejoong. Nameless Song Part 1 is written and composed by Yuchun, it's the only song that's new to me cos I don't think it was sang at the Seoul Concert?

But anyway, basically all the songs are nice ^^ And all of them were written, composed and arranged by the boys so it just makes it so much more meaningful when you listen to them, knowing that the boys are singing something they personally wrote and composed

The empty box. The card, which at the back of the is picture of JYJ shown all the way at the beginning of this post.

So yeah, I'm uber happy to finally have this in my hands! I don't know if I'll bear to use it, but on the other hand, I think I'll be so happy using it, because you use/update/check your planner often right? And wouldn't it make you happy seeing the boy's faces all those times you check your planner? :P But I've got like 4 or 5 other unused diaries ^^ Which oh which to use?

Gmarket Haul - Books, CDs, DVDs and misc ♥

Hello all~ This time round I hauled Korean books, CDs and DVDs! Wanted to make use of the books category coupons available this month, as well as the Bravo Gmarket overseas shipping coupons, hence the haul ♥♥

Two shipments because I forgot to combine shipping T_T Other than books, CDs and DVDs I actually ordered clothes but since everyone orders clothes/shoes from Gmarket I shalln't be reviewing that today~ Onto the DVDs first!

Clockwise from top left: SS501 Step Up Concert, All About DBSK Season 1, All About DBSK Season 3, DBSK Mirotic Concert, Tohoshinki The Secret Code Concert, DBSK 'O' Concert.

Okay, so I only ordered the last four, the other two I already had but wanted to include in the picture (: Sadly All About DBSK Season 2 was not available on Gmarket, I don't know why. Neither was the Five in the Black Concert DVD. Maybe they're out of stock or I wasn't searching with the right terms?

The O and Mirotic DVDs were from the seller 케이아트+. They were about 23,000 won and 33,000 won after coupons. The Mirotic DVD was supposed to come with 5 bookmarks, but I didn't even get a single one! What happened to it! :( And the posters included weren't matching with the product, they were just random posters of DBSK. The O DVD was supposed to come with a standing calendar, what happened to it!? I never got that either :( But the packaging is cool, the silver portions actually change color reflecting light, that's why you can see the rainbow/spectrum of colors in the picture above ^^

I got the Secret Code and AADBSK3 from 뮤직코리아. Great to watch! :D They were 25,000 won and 33,000 won after coupons. Of the 4 DVDs, only All About has English subtitles, but I speak/read Japanese so Japanese subtitles/audio were fine for me (:

Clockwise from top left: Jejung&Yuchun - Colors, Melody and Harmony; DBSK - Mirotic Ver. C, DBSK - A Christmas Gift from DBSK, DBSK - Hug, DBSK - Vacation OST.

CDs! These are some of their older singles and mini albums, which aren't available in Singapore, so I wanted to grab in case they cease production or something :/ From the seller 음반몰. I actually wanted to grab a couple more but I shouldn't bee too greedy, and get them next time! Totally love the packaging of the Christmas gift, it's so cute, like a gift! Comes with postcards (:

Got some textbooks/workbooks for learning Korean~♥ The Kyunghee University series. The Singapore Korean School uses this for teaching Korean, and apparently in South Korea it's used to teach some foreign diplomats and their family, so it must be effective right? I haven't started reading it yet though! Top row is textbooks, the bottom row the accompanying workbooks. Blue is Beginner's I, red is Beginner's II, green is Intermediate I. I didn't get the Intermediate II and Advanced I&II, I have to actually get started on and finish these three first! :P

Got the workbooks from Libro and the textbooks from 영풍문고. The workbooks come in a 30-hole ring binder, but sadly due to the (rather bad) packaging of the seller, when they reached me the plastic cover and ring openings were cracked and broken. Even worse, the broken bits were nowhere to be found in the boxes! So... Shipping was rather slow too. So I bought new files to put them in. They were around 12-13,000 won each after coupons. The textbooks on the other hand were quick in shipping and came in good condition. They were around 15,000 won.

The 3 thicker bottom ones are workbooks, and the 2 thinner ones are the textbooks. The textbooks are in English and Korean and the paper is of thick, glossy, good quality. However as you can see I'm missing the textbook for the red, Beginner's II, as the two sellers selling it on Gmarket both do not ship it overseas! Which I find odd as everything else in the series (Beginner I, Intermediate I & II, Advanced I & II) all ship overseas! Just not the Beginner's II...

Masking stickers! They're sheets of patterned stickers in strips/circles which you can use to decorate notes, cards etc. Really pretty and can't wait to use them! Hehe I started by decorated the tin above :D

Also got 2 books from (주)수송사샵. They were on 50% sale and cost only 5,400won each! Lee Hyeyoung's Beauty Bible and Fashion Bible. Honestly I doubt I can read them since I don't know much Korean yet but there are pictures, and who could resist such a pretty hot pink book like that! The cover is just so, so pretty, pink, lace pattern, mirror-like image in the middle.

The Beauty Bible also has a sweet pink ribbon bookmark :D

They also came with download coupons (which I do not know how to use since it's in Korean, but maybe someday I'll learn how to!) That is if they don't expire first!

Also got 5 rings (the ones in plastics) from the seller 테이커. The rest are all freebies!

I love these two the most ♥

I love the ribbon one as well, it's so sweet! ♥

Ordered the Dr Jart+ Silver Label BB cream after I finished my Black Label. From the GmarketDr Jart+ shop. I have to say I LOVE THIS! ♥♥ Coverage is really good, yet the finish is natural enough. However I like the Black Label more cos it has a more natural finish, Silver Label can be a bit too dry/matte! Came with 2 satchets of the Silver label, a 30ml miniature of the Whitening Water Drop (which I adore as well, it's great for moisturizing and calms the redness my skin has been experiencing lately), a Pore Medic sheet mask, and a 5,000 won coupon to be used in any of the physical Korea stores, valid till Dec 2011. Also came with a brochure listing their products. Shipping was super quick, I ordered Sunday evening, it finished domestic shipping by Tuesday morning? Hehe I made use of a 20% Beauty VIP coupon for the category foundations I think? Plus Dr Jart+ was having a promotion so it cost 17,000 won if I recall correctly.

I'm going to order a bunch more stuff from Dr Jart+, which I shall review again when it comes! The Vitalaser series (:

Here's the current batch of BB creams I'm trying to finish. I've finished up a Dr Jart Black label, Liole Water Drop. BRTC's almost finishing, but it has no SPF so I'm not using it as often anymore. The Hanskin's almost gone as well. But I can't use it anymore cos I got tanner over summer and it's too white for me now T_T I really loved it, coverage was great. For now my fave is the Silver Label, followed by Banila Co's Let Me Bebe, comes in a hygienic pump tube, I got it from Gmarket a few months ago!

So that's it this time round. Next time shall be my Dr Jart haul! ♥ xoxo
