Jill Stuart Stealing Hearts ♥

Jill Stuart never ceases to amaze me  As the years go by their coffrets get better and prettier, and the Stealing Hearts Holiday 2012 Coffret is by far one of their best ε(๑^ᴗ^๑)з I already love Jill Stuart's pinkness and sweet, feminine designs, but add on hearts and the smell of roses, and it's perfect!

Not to mention, this year's coffret comes with full-sizes of both a face palette and eye palette, which is quite uncommon for Jill Stuart, and extremely worth the price. I was super blessed to have been gifted this as a birthday present, thank you friends! ♥ The Stealing Hearts Holiday 2012 Coffret contains:

Mix Face Powder Compact in 102 Charming Feline
 Powder puff with casing
Jewel Crystal Eyes in 106 Captured Sardonyx
Lip Jewel in 101 Kissy Thulite
Crayon Liner in 02 Lush Black
Satin pouch with lace frill details and snap-closure

Even the box is so pretty, with the blend of the different colored hearts all over. I love red, pink and hearts, and can't stop admiring how pretty hearts pattern on the covers of the palettes are! The stars of this collection are definitely the face powder and eyeshadow palette

But I actually really love all the other items too, and forget what I said about the Secret Tease Collection, right now *THIS* to me is the prettiest and most usable holiday coffret that Jill Stuart has ever come up with, because everything it comes with is usable on a daily basis, and super pretty to boot!

The Jewel Crystal Eyes in 106 Captured Sardonyx is an eyeshadow palette that consists of a shimmery white, rich gold, bright coral pink and deep brown. The colors are very usable and are suitable for daily wear. Unlike the palettes from the Dreamy Garden Collection, the colors for this palette have minimal glitter and sparkle bits, as the white and gold still have some. The coral and brown and are especially gorgeous These two colors have no glitter bits, the color is pigmented, and the finish is incredibly smooth and pearly.

The jewel and my favorite item of the entire collection: The Mix Face Powder Compact in 102 Charming FelineThis comes in the same compact/shape as the Mix Blush Compact, but instead of a blush, this is a face powder! ♥ It is described by Jill Stuart as a "Lightweight pressed powder with a radiant, luminous finish. Coordinated 4 colors blend softly to enhance skin tone for a silky smooth complexion.

There's a pretty heart pattern with the Jill Stuart "J" in white shimmer sprayed over the palette, but that comes off after a swipe. The colors left behind are a light beige, pink, yellow and orange, all with a pearly sheen, and when mixed they give a lovely, radiant glow to your face.  The powder contains wild rose extract and almond oil, and smells *amazing*. I love the smell of roses and this is truly lovely

Since it is a pressed powder, instead of the goat-hair brush that Mix Blush compacts come with, the Mix Face Powder comes with a puff to apply the powder. The puff if super soft, and comes in a rubber/silicon case with the same pretty hearts pattern as the palettes

As with all Jill Stuart holiday collections, there's gotta be a pouch/bag! And this year's one is a snap-closure satin pouch with lace frill details and a hanging "J" charm. The pouch is pretty roomy, and can easily store all the items in the collection and more! The dimensions are about 21.5 x 11 x 6cm. It fits my 3 Jewel Crystal Eyes palettes, 2 Mix Compact Blushes, 4 Petite Jelly Lip Glosses, 1 Jelly Eyecolor N, and the Crayon Eyeliner and Lip Jewel gloss from this collection.

The Lip Jewel in 101 Kissy Thulite is a coral-colored gloss with fine shimmers and a doe-foot wand. The consistency of the gloss is slightly thick and sticky, so it stays on your lips. The color is beautiful, with a   subtle jewel-like shimmer and shine finish. The sides of the wand have white hearts on them, and the top has a large crystal ♥ It has a wonderful rose smell, as do all the other items in this coffret.

The Crayon Eyeliner in 01 Lush Black is a waterproof, intense black pencil eyeliner. I've been trying it over the past few days, and it's rather smudge-proof as well! The cap has gorgeous details and patterns, and I don't think I can bear to sharpen the pencil as it gets shorter^^

All the Jill Stuart cosmetics in the coffret are made in Japan and contain moisturizing wild rose extract and almond oil. They not only look great, but also smell like a whiff of heaven; of roses, flowers and bliss ♥ According to the box, they expire 5 years after manufacturing, in September 2017.

As always, Jill Stuart coffret pouches are so pretty! This year's is no exception. The bow handle at the top, the mesh flowers on the side, the satin pleats, the sweet pink color... However the contents seem a little mehhh...lackluster and nothing special. I admit the first thing I notice every year is the pouch. Last year's Secret Tease Collection was gorgeous! Jill Stuart Atomizer ♥

Jill Stuart Night Jewel Mini Atomizer~

Was really debating on whether to get this as I felt that I did not need it, but after staring at pictures of it repeatedly I caved (expected right?). Totally ecstatic that I caved and decided to get it, this is gorgeoussss!

The dearly beloved trademark pretty rhinestone deco appears as a charm on the atomizer, together with a J initial charm. Attached by a clip on top, these can be removed and attached to your phone or anything!

It's just reaallly pretty no?
So sweet and feminine with its luxurious design.
(Though the shininess screams fingerprint city!)

Removing the cap, it's a shiny atomizer~

The bottom can be removed too. Inside is 4ml of Night Jewel EDT. When it runs out, or if you don't like Night Jewel, you can unscrew the bottle and replace it with your favorite scent~

Even comes with a mini funnel to help you pour in your scents!

Prettily packaged in the box

Happy with the recent Jill Stuart love I've been feeling~ I'm off to Tokyo for a couple of days!

Jill Stuart Dreamy Garden Case ♥

Been waiting for this baby to arrive, and boy was I surprised when I saw the size of the package! Any guesses as to what I was waiting for...?

Yes, it's Jill Stuart again! Yet another item from the Dreamy Garden collection
I really just can't get enough of the pretty bird/flower design!

What's in the package? Tada it's a cosmetic case~

It's actually a GWP with I-don't-know-how-much amount spent in Taiwan, but obviously since I'm not in Taiwan I had to purchase this online. Got it for S$25, which is not a bad price as it's really a very well-made case, which turned out a lot better than I expected it to be!

The case is larger than I thought it would be, measuring roughly 16cm x 17cm x 19cm.
For reference the case that came with the JS 2009 mook was 12cm x 18cm x 9cm.

The Dreamy Garden case is very hard and sturdy, extremely solid and will definitely maintain its boxy shape. The outer material is I think synthetic leather and it's waterproof. The case is well-stitched, material feels great (ie not cheap or flimsy) and I just think it's a really pretty case~

And the Jill Stuart packaging we all know and love wouldn't be the Jill Stuart we all know and love if it didn't have rhinestones~ I was really pleasantly surprised to find rhinestones on the zippers!

No compartments, no mirror, it's just a simple boxy case.
The inside is lined with thick black satin.
There's a ribbon connecting the top and body to prevent the top from flopping backwards.

My Dreamy Garden family Get a feel of the depth and size of the case?

I'm really very happy with this case, it's now the new pride and joy of my very cluttered and full dressing table~If you're loving the Dreamy Garden collection print like I am obsessed with do, check out my reviews and swatches of the Dreamy Garden Jewel Crystal Eyes palettes and Petite Jelly Lip Gloss Trio~

Jill Stuart Jewel Crystal Eyes ♥

My babies FINALLY arrived! Some inefficiency on Singpost's part (what's new?) but after catching a mailman and calling in a couple of times, I finally got it. The two limited edition Jill Stuart Jewel Crystal Eyes palettes from the Dreamy Garden Collection! Sold only in Taiwan and Hong Kong

The packaging is pretty, the usual Jill Stuart pink box, but with added bird and flower motifs, as with the Petite Jelly Lip Gloss Trio from the same collection

Closeup of the design on the box, isn't it lovely?

Even the sides have the design too. Gotta love the folks at Jill Stuart for paying attention to every little aesthetic detail. The two colors were 102 Amazonite Dazzle (which I really loved) and 103 Sparkling Morganite.

This is 102 Amazonite Dazzle. What struck me when I first saw it was that it was a change from the usual Jill Stuart colors of pink/purple/light colors, and was instead a dark green/brown palette. The middle two shades were unique, so I just had to get this palette. Of course the shimmer power was there, with extra power

Swatches of 102 Amazonite Dazzle.
The brown is the least sparkly, with the least amount of glitters, but it's still shimmery. The color beside it is a dark green with a blue tinge, with emerald and gold sparkle bits. I really like this color! Beside it is a mossy gold-green, also prettty! And the white is pretty much your standard sparkly white, nothing really special. Just extra glittery.

This is 103 Sparkling Morganite. Caved in and decided to get it because I like the last two colors of salmon and purple-gray. You can't really see it in the photo, but the gray has blue/dark purple undertones and sparkles, it's pretty. And I really like the salmon shade. These colors have a great amount of sparkly particles.

Swatches of 103 Sparkling Morganite.
The "black" is actually a purple-toned dark grey with purple sparkle bits. The salmon has golden and iridescent sparkle bits. The light frosty pink is nothing special, and neither is the champagne color.

Swatches of both palettes. 102 Amazonite Dazzle and 103 Sparkling Morganite.

There's quite a bit of sparkle fallout and they can be easily wiped off, so an eyeshadow primer is a must unless you want your cheeks to end up sparkly as well^^ But the colors are lovely and so is the packaging, and I really am a sucker for anything pretty and limited edition that Jill Stuart comes out with.

But as for wearability...it IS very sparkly and there's fallout so it's not spectacular as a functioning eyeshadow palette. But for special occasions or if you're a die-hard Jill Stuart fan, I'd say at least get Amazonite Dazzle for the unique colors~

Even the palette case has the pretty birds and flowers motifs

Was fortunate enough to get my hands on the very lovely Dreamy Garden cosmetic case as well, pictures here!

Jill Stuart Secret Tease Lashes ♥

Got these lashes in the Jill Stuart Secret Tease Holiday 2010 Collection, and tried them on to see how they looked. Looking at them, these lashes just gave me a dreamy, floaty vibe, and they really are just that!

I'd say they look their best when you close your eyes; long, soft and fluttery; very dream-like ♥♥

These lashes are very long, with the longest portion being the middle. Both ends are equal length so there's no "right" lash or "left" lash, either can be used on either eye.

View from below, they're really really long. They don't have much curl at all, the base is the typical criss-cross type, with feathers in addition. The longest bits are feather bits.

I think they don't look really nice on me on the front view, (blame my eye shape) and because the lashes aren't curled; they're super long so they just stick straight out.

I really like the top closed-eye view though! Even though they're dense, there's still a soft dreamy look because of the feathers.

From the front it looks somewhat static-y and all over the place because of the long feathers here and there, but unlike dramatic plastic lashes these don't look as harsh, and give a soft look nonetheless.

Overall, I looove these lashes, though don't think I can wear them for anything other than special occasions^^ They really are very long, and the feathers might go out of shape if treated roughly/mishandled. (I'm worried about preserving them!) I wish they'd have more curl though! I really love the effect of the feather, it's very pretty and the soft dreamy look is what I imagined it to be~

Jill Stuart Secret Tease ♥

When I first saw pictures of the 2010 holiday coffret, Secret Tease, I just knew I had to have it. A departure from the usually pink pink pink holiday coffrets, the extra black lace details really got me lemming for this really badly. Yes I love Jill Stuart's pinkness and sweet, feminine designs, but too much pink isn't my thing and I really am a sucker for lace designs.

The jewels for this collection (to me) were the lashes, blush and pouch! And all the other items I now love too, so to me it's the prettiest and most usable holiday coffret Jill Stuart has ever come up with.

I don't use eyeshadows much, so I'm glad this year's coffret didn't come with a palette. Rather, a blush I could use every day, exquisitely designed and packaged items and the beautiful feathery lashes made it a must-get for me.

The beautiful box it came in, love the details of the design!

The gorgeous case/pouch it all came in. It's made of pink satin with black lace details and a black ribbon, and is really soft, but seems delicate so I wouldn't use it for heavy things. There's also a "J" charm at the top.

Open it to reveal a zip compartment and a drawstring compartment. Just touching this thing gives a very luxurious feel!

Jewel of the collection, Blush Blossom in 101 Sensual Dahlia. The packaging is gorgeous, with all the bow and filigree border designs. And the black lace on the cover gives an extra edge to the normally sweet and girly Jill Stuart packaging.

There's a plastic lid covering the powder, you could fit a puff on top if you like to apply loose blushes with a puff I guess. The lid makes it hygienic. It also minimizes any possible powder spills due to it getting moved around in your bag when you walk?

On the left is the shimmer tint, a pearly light color which gives a glowy look, and on the right is the blush glow, a matte color. For me the color is very usable even for an everyday blush, for the colors are soft enough and not too loud. Just remember to apply with a light hand.

There's another clear plastic sheet, on top of a sift which rests snugly above the wells containing the product. The sift prevents mixing of the powders. I like keeping the clear plastic sheet so that powder won't get onto the white lid, and it'll further prevent any powder spilling out. This contains 5g of product like all the other Blush Blossoms.

Left to right: shimmer tint, blush glow, JS Mix Compact Blush in 01 Baby Blush (the mixed color after I re-compacted it.) So, it's definitely very wearable.

The brush that comes differs from the regular brushes in that it is not made of goat's hair, but rather a synthetic material that's tinted pink! It's really soft, though I haven't tried using it to apply the blush yet. And instead of the ribbon charm the other Blush Blossom brushes have, the one in this collection has a "J" charm. And the rhinestone isn't pink, but a crystal with AB (Aurora Borealis) coating. It appears as different colors at different angles.

The other jewel in the collection! I adore false lashes, and seeing this pair in the promo pictures just made me go to dreamland. I imagine angels wearing them when I see this pair; soft and fluttery, feathery lashes, matching their white feathered wings. I don't know, this pair just evokes a soft ethereal feel to me

Without the plastic cover. The lashes look really dreamy, I'm scared of getting glue on the feathers because that might mess it all up. Really need to take extra care when handling these lashes if you want them to last and remain fluttery

The mini Jelly Lip Gloss in 102 Silky Pink. I really like the extra lace design! It contains 10ml of product.

Put side by with the colors from the Petite Jelly Lip Gloss Trio, it really seems as though Silky Pink is a cross between Pretty Tutu and Sweet Perfume no?

Love the rhinestones on the caps! The one for Silky Pink is also AB coated as with the stone on the blush brush.

Swatches. Pardon the focus! Pretty Tutu, Silky Pink, Sweet Perfume, Cherry Whip. Doesn't Silky Pink look like a mix of Pretty Tutu and Sweet Perfume? The color and the shimmer!

Jelly Eye Color N in 104 Satin Lingerie. This contains 6g of product. My camera's not focusing today, but the black filigree design on the lid is pretty

104 Satin Lingerie is a pearly frosted pink full of shimmer.

It really sparkles under the light and doesn't budge once it dries. No sparkle fallout = hurray!

Last but certainly not least, the Night Jewel Perfumed Body Powder. This comes in a puff form, I do not know how many applications it'll last, but it smells wonderful!

I have the Jill Stuart EDT, got it 2 years ago because of the packaging, didn't use it much as it's too sweet and cloying coupled with the humidity of Singapore's weather. But Night Jewel is a more sensual scent. It's not overly sweet; it's more floral and just smells like a fairytale. A very pretty feminine scent you won't get sick of.

I've been wanting to get a bottle but now there're all the bans on posting perfume/flammable products so can't order it :( Gotta wait till I go to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan or Korea :(

The back of the box which lists the ingredients and product information.

The free samples the seller gave me: Smooth Silk Powder Foundation in 101 Linen, Pure Lasting Makeup Base N in 02 Luminous, Berry Scrub and Body Milk.

The powder foundation has a smooth, soft finish, it really gives your skin a soft glow! Quite effective in covering most redness as well, at least for me. The finish is natural and really has a soft, baby skin look. The makeup base is a tad sticky at first, but after it settles it's smooth, semi-matte and gives a pinky glow.

I also managed to order the Dreamy Garden palettes (102 Amazonite Dazzle and 103 Sparkling Morganite). Those are arriving soon, can't wait!
