Majolica Majorca Fantastic Fantasy ♪ ♬ Chapter 38, Autumn 2013

Majolica Majorca's Autumn 2013 release, Chapter 38 "Fantastic Fantasy". The collection's theme takes inspiration from Alice's Tea Party (Alice in Wonderland), delivering various surprises in the cute but mildly poisonous world. A girl charmed by a world of dazzling surprises, who gets her wish of transformation fulfilled.

Except for the mascara, everything in the collection is limited edition, and features muted/vintage colors. I love the theme of this, because I love tea, patisseries and tea parties ♪(*´ω`*) ♬ The collection is slated for release on 21st July 2013 in Japan.

As with all releases this year, the jewel of the chapter is The Little Humming Book III

Like the previous two books, it features one cream base, two powder shadows and a lip gloss. The cream base is a pastel pink called Table Napkin. The two powder shadows are a berry pink called Antique Berry and a golden beige called Brick Wall. The gloss is a deep scarlet called Tomato Jam. This retails for 1,575yen with tax.

A new product, Nail Costume. These are nail stickers that can easily be pasted onto your nails. Each comes with a nail file. The three varieties are #1 Teacup, #2 Tablecloth and #3 秘密の住人 (Himitsu no Shujin), which will be sold in all stores that carry Majolica Majorca. These retail for 787yen with tax each.

There's also another 4th design, #0 Omamori, which will be sold exclusively on WatashiPlus, Shiseido's online web store, to be released 21st August.

Majolica Majorca is well-known for their mascaras, and their latest addition is the Lash Expander Edge Meister F, a film type mascara easily removed with just warm water. Majolica Majorca mascaras are well-known for being waterproof, smudgeproof and tough to remove. This version will be removable with just warm water (hope that doesn't include tears!) The mascara features a Duet Comb - a brush with two combs. The main comb is for length and separation, and the little one is for "point catch", especially for lower lashes. This retails for 1,260yen with tax.

Rounding up the collection are two limited edition Artistic Nails (Speedy & Glossy) nail polishes. They are supposed to dry quickly and give a glossy shine, so that you can do nail art soon after. The two limited edition colors are GY971 骨董品 (Kotsutouhin) and RS272 食べ頃 (Tabegoro). These retail for 399yen with tax.

Out of the three 10th anniversary collections this year, this has the quaintest names (to me). Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite stories, and I love tea and patisseries! Tiramisu, Fraisier and Montblanc are my favorite patisseries  (That's why I really liked AMO's eyelashes for the latest AMOYAMO x Eyemazing collection, because the names are derived from Alice in Wonderland and teatime items too (*´ω`*)♪) Can't wait for this collection to hit Singapore!

Anessa Face Sunscreen BB SPF50+ PA+++

Because my Too Cool For School Blending Cream BB was almost finished, I started trying the Anessa Face Sunscreen BB which I bought in Yokohama last September. I can't believe I took so long to start on it, just one use and it became my current favorite BB cream!

Anessa is made by Shiseido, and is famous for their sunscreens, which have ranked high on cosme.net for many years. I initially wanted to only try the sunscreen, but while I was in Donki I saw the BB cream next to it and thought, why not try it out, since I haven't tried many Japanese BB creams other than Hadalabo's.

I love Donki, because I can spend hours browsing the cosmetics section^^ Lots of items are discounted too, for example the sunscreen was about 1790yen, while the BB cream was 2000yen. The retail price is around 3150yen for the sunscreen and 2520yen for the BB cream. Anyway, I had to try both

There was a promotion for the sunscreens, whereby there was an extra mini 12ml bottle of a different sunscreen. I got the Perfect Essence Sunscreen SPF50+ PA+++, and it came with a mini bottle of the Perfect UV Sunscreen SPF50+ PA+++. (I just checked their website, in February 2013 a new formula has been rolled out for all the sunscreens, they now offer PA++++! Even more sun protection, hurray~)

The Too Cool For School BB cream had no SPF, so I'd always use the Perfect Essence Sunscreen under. It's my favorite sunscreen, because it's very fluid like essence/serum, non-sticky and is easily absorbed. I haven't tried the Perfect UV one, though it's recommended for activities like sports, going up the mountains/going to the sea, and it's waterproof too.

Onto the BB cream! I like how the underside of the cap is solid instead of being empty like most screw-cap cosmetics. There's 30g of product and its main function is actually to act as a suncreen. There are two colors - Light and Natural - but at Donki I only saw Natural, so that's what I got. The Anessa Face Sunscreen BB is actually more like a tinted moisturizer than a BB cream, with high sun protection.

Ingredients and benefits.

Main benefits:
★ High UV protection - protects delicate skin against sunburn and sun damage
★ Moisturizing - contains hyaluronic acid and collagen
★ Covers pores
★ Corrects skin tone
★ Can be used as a make up base or as a foundation
★ Resistant to sweat and sebum

Oiliness test.
It's very non-oily, which works great in Singapore's humidity.
It's also very light, so my face doesn't feel like it's smothered by cream :D

I don't know what to call this test, but just wanted to show that it doesn't "melt" or fall off after contact with the environment, or that the more liquid components won't sink to the bottom and cause the blob to fall off the paper?

Consistency test.
It's lightweight and very creamy, but spreads easily and blends into skin without difficulty.
I have a preference for creamier BB creams, because for me thinner BB creams tend to streak...

Color/blending.
The Anessa Face Sunscreen BB is actually a lot darker than most BB creams I've seen, but over time it blends into my skin. The main function is to act as a sunscreen, and it's made to have a "natural" color. Despite claiming to be more for sun protection than makeup, the BB cream's coverage is medium and is buildable, and it's pretty decent at covering redness and evening skintone

The BB cream dries semi-matte, which is my preferred type of finish  ε(๑^ᴗ^๑)з

When I use this I do not top it off with loose powder, because it sets pretty well. And after 10hours of wear it still stays in place, and doesn't melt or streak. For me, this is a great BB cream, perfect for Singapore's humid weather. It's also lightweight, blends very well and looks natural, and the finish is semi-matte and non-oily ♥

I have combination skin and live in extremely humid and warm weather, and I really like the texture of this BB cream. However, for people living in temperate climates of have dry skin, I think you might find this a bit drying?

za 15th Anniversary ♡

2013 marks za's 15th anniversary, and what are birthdays without parties and cake?
The theme was pink and yellow!

I remember my first encounter with za, waaay back in the year 2000, when I was just 10. The first za product I ever used: their Two-duo Lip Gloss. Each large tube of gloss had two colors, and as a 10-year old I was so fascinated because when you squeezed it, a bit of both colors came out, and you got a magical mixed color! ♡ (Credits to Google for these images of the gloss, I don't think I even started using the Internet or had a digital camera in 2000^^)

Instead of cake, there was a lovely selection of pies and drinks at the event, which was held at Window Sill Pies, a quaint little cafe with an amazing selection of pies~  I tried the Funny Apple Pie and Banana Brittle Pie, yumms.

Dangling from the ceiling of the cafe were adorable decorations featuring illustrations by Naho Ogawa!

A Tokyo-born freelance illustrator, Naho Ogawa graduated from the prestigious Parson's School of Design in New York. While still in college, she collaborated with Anna Sui to design T-shirts! I love her illustrations, they're so sweet and delightful, and I love the style of how her colors sometimes exceed the black "outlines". Her works have also been featured in Vogue Bambini Italia and Vogue Girl Korea.

To commemorate its 15th birthday, za will be releasing a super cute, limited edition foundation case designed by Naho Ogawa...can you spot it amongst the sea of cuteness?

Awesome pink handmade "cake" decorated with some of za's current best-selling products.
And topping the cake, the lovely foundation case!

The foundation casing is for za's Perfect Fit Two-way Foundation, which is formulated with hyaluronic acid and collagen for all-day moisture and hydration. It provides decent UV protection with SPF20 PA++. It also has pore and oil control properties to keep skin matte and fresh.

The 10 functions the foundation claims to provide:
★ Spreads lightly ★
★ Applies smoothly ★
★ High coverage ★
★ Even finish ★
★ Reduces pore visibility ★
★ Evens skintone ★
★ Corrects dull skin ★
★ Non-greasy over time ★
★ High staying power ★
★ Retains brightness ★

Close up of the uber cute limited edition 15th anniversary foundation case.

Love the colors, illustrations and girlishness of the design ♥ I'm definitely a girly girl, so anything this sweet, pink, colorful and pretty gets my stamp of approval ☆ Mark your calendars for 4th July 2013, for that's when the adorable foundation case will be launched in Watsons stores island-wide. It will retail for S$9.90, so grab it while you can as it's limited edition!

Majolica Majorca Moonlight Virgin ★ Summer 2013

Majolica Majorca's summer 2013 release, "Moonlight Virgin".

The collection's theme takes inspiration from the beauty of the swan, like in "Swan Lake".

Everything in the collection is limited edition, with white and lovely blue summer hues! I look forward to summer each year, because aqua/turquoise is one of my favorite colors. I have way too much turquoise clothes and accessories. Anyway, the four main make up items start selling tomorrow in Japan~

The star of the collection: The Little Humming Book II, the second "book" palette in their series celebrating their 10th anniversary.

Like the Little Humming Book I, it features one cream base, two powder shadows and a lip gloss. The cream base is a creamy brown called "Earth Land". The two powder shadows are sky blue "Water Mirror", and ivory "Night Dress". The gloss is a muted coral called "Swan Bill". Retails for 1575yen with tax.

Shiny Ray Liner, can function as an eyeliner or lip liner, and the feather is adorable! 1365yen with tax. For the eyes, it can be used on the inner corners, water line or right below the iris to make the eyes look bigger. For the lips, it can be used on top of the cupid's bow or below the lower lip to give the illusion of bigger lips. I love pencil eyeliners like these, finishing my Dolly Wink one soon, will try this when it gets released in Singapore!

Majolica Majorca is well-known for its mascaras, which are really smudge-proof, sweat-proof and water-proof. Sometimes they release limited edition colors like blue and red! This time it's brown~ Great for natural looking lashes. Lash Expander Edge Meister in a limited edition brown, BR666, 1260yen with tax.

Shiny Highlight, can be a face color or eyeshadow. 997yen with tax.
Like the Cream de Cheek blushes released last year, this comes in a little glass bottle that makes it look like nail polish! In a liquid form, you dab it little and spread to blend.

Aqua Fizz Shower, a hair and body lotion, will be released on May 21st, retailing at 997yen with tax. A spray containing raspberry extract, it gives moisture to the hair and skin.  It has the same sweet and romantic smell of the "Majoromanticora" fragrance.

Picture credits to their mixi page. Majolica Majorca has always been one of my favorite drugstore brands, I love how they release their collections in "Chapters", each with a different theme. And they were using the same image model for so many years, so it was quite amazing to see how one person can change their look with each chapter released. Plus, they're friendly on the pockets and are of great quality (made by Shiseido). Majomajo was one of the first make-up brands I really got into, when I was 16! Back then it wasn't available in Singapore, so I got it from yahoo auctions and random blog sellers. This year is their 10th anniversary~ ♥♡ Hope they'll be around in another 10 years!

Majolica Majorca Jewelling Eyes Offer at Watsons

Watson's is having offers on lots of the Majolica Majorca items, so I came back with these: Majomajo Jewelling Eyes in SV887, VI782 and PK330; Majomajo Cream Pencil Liner in BR611; Brow Customize Sword Cut in BR782; and KissMe Heavy Rotation Milky Color Matte Lip in 01 Pure Pink.

Watson's is currently having a major offer on the Majolica Majorca Jewelling Eyes palettes; 3 for S$48 for Watson's members, S$50 for non-members. Usually they retail for S$27.50, so it's even cheaper to buy 3 than to buy 2! The offer is from 28 April to 18 May.

From left to right: VI782 Vanity, PK330 Strawberry Cake and SV887 Good & Evil.

SV887 Good & Evil, my favorite of the lot! This picture doesn't do it justice, go to your nearest Watson's to have a look. It's a bit similar to a KISS palette I had a few years ago, a quad of white, lgrey, pink and dark grey; but the dark grey of the KISS palette was A LOT darker, almost black. This will be a good replacement as KISS isn't sold in Singapore :( And the palette has probably been phased out.

VI782 Vanity, a pretty purple palette. I liked the top right plum shade so I got this.

PK330 Strawberry Cake, a limited edition shade from the Spring 2011 collection. I've never gotten a pink palette before as usually they make me look like I have an eye allergy, but this seemed pastel enough so I'mma give it a shot.

There are other palettes available, sadly the outlet I went to didn't have the one I wanted, GR791 Feathery Fan, looove the teal shade, never got round to buying it though ^^

Actually the 3 for $50 offer is not limited to the Majomajo palettes, as long as the item has an orange sticker, you can get any 3 for $50. There are also 3 for $30, 3 for $80, etc items. Go check out your nearest Watson's to see.

Majomajo was having 20%off the Cream Pencil Liner and mascaras, so I got the liner in brown, BR611 (I have a lot of black pencil liners, 4 of Urban Decay's Zero, Urban Decay's Perversion, YSL, Bibo Eyeful and not to mention gel liners!).

This was originally S$14.50. After 20% off it was S$11.60. It's a matte reddish brown, free from sparkles and glitter. Good if you want a softer, less harsh look (:

Left to right: Majomajo Cream Pencil Liner, Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Pencil in Whiskey, UD Bourbon, UD Corrupt

Spotted this recently in Watson's, (it wasn't there last week) after so long it finally hit our shores. The KissMe Heavy Rotation Milky Color Matte Lip in 01 Pure Pink.

This is how the tube looks like, quite plain...and cheap looking.

The lipstick is like this, a flat-top type that kind of resembles a stick concealer, due to the color!

A swatch on the underside of my arm. Very nude with a slight tinge of pink (: The formula is very thick and creamy. I think that you'd best have exfoliated your lips before using this, due to the texture. But I have yet to try them on my lips though! Comes in 3 other colors.
