Arteastiq ♥ at Mandarin Gallery

Despite TWG being my eternal favorite place for tea, it's still nice to try out other places and discover new things. So here's another place for tea: Arteastiq Tea Lounge at Mandarin Gallery. It's located in town, so it's perfect to go to after an afternoon walking around. By the way, Antoinette now has another branch at Mandarin Gallery too!

It was my second time here at Arteastiq; I ordered the same thing I ordered the first time, Monet dessert tea!

Presentation-wise it's a lot different from the first time I had it, but just as delicious.

Their presentation is gorgeous by the way, everything looks so good!

Monet is a French rose tea with champagne vanilla ice-cream, love the flavors!

Arteastiq doesn't have much cakes or patisseries, which is what I like to have with tea... So my favorite tea place is still TWG ♥ Been to TWG countless times ever since the days when they only had one outlet at Republic Plaza, and now they've opened branches in Ion Orchard, Takashimaya, Marina Bay Sands and even overseas! My favorite tea's Charlemagne, a mixture of green and white tea infused with hints of rose and strawberry, so if you're ever there, do try it out! ♥ Also, their breakfast is delicious :)

Antoinette ♥ at Penhas Road

Discovered a new place for tea and pâtisseries! Antionette at Penhas Road. It's at Lavender (farrrr) so I'm looking forward to the opening of the more central outlets!

After a long time deciding, I got the Saint Honore L'amour!

(They don't have tiramisu or fraisier, my 2 favorite pâtisseries)

I didn't really like the cream outside,

but I loooved the cream inside the mini choux puffs, it was good!

My friend got strawberry shortcake.

I think Antoinette's way of slicing cake is amaaaazing, the slices are so sharp, straight and neat! This slice is really a cube, even the cream didn't sag/droop after being cut, looking from the top the cake is straight, not lopsided and no need for the plastic sheets some cakes places like to wrap their shortcakes with. 11/10 for presentation!

And of course I got tea too!

It was called Petit Rose.

The pâtisseries are great~♥ They have lots of food on their menu too (crêpes, baguettes, meat, soupe, etc). This was just the kind of place I've been waiting for (for eons!) to appear! Singapore really should have more places like this!

But haha I can't help thinking that the person who wrote the menu probably doesn't speak French, lots of the agreements (singular vs plural, feminine vs masculine) in the names of their dishes are off. (I'm just odd and notice these things, okay!^^) Though I guess most people won't be able to tell or even care since majority of the Singapore public doesn't know French, and neither did the waiters!

But overall this place is great! If it were in my neighborhood I'd go there everyday for pâtisseries. Everything not only looks good, but tastes great as well~ ♥ My only gripe is that it's in some weird location not remotely near anywhere I'd go (other than to renew my passport) So...I can't wait for the more central branches to appear! :D

TWG again~ ♥

Been craving TWG brunch, haven't had it since over 6 months ago. But sadly it's been a very busy time and that means no more leisurely mornings free for brunch! So that leaves only tea time free.

Took this photo the last time we went for brunch, the eggs are really good! Especially the white truffle oil one. (You can choose between white truffle oil, saffron and something else which I forgot). Comes with brioche toast, a salad with delicious smoked salmon, scones or croissant, apple or orange juice, and tea.

Tea tea tea~ In January I bought 100g of Charlemagne tea leaves ♥ I've been drinking it every day for the past 4 weeks and it's only halfway finished!

So in the end we went for tea, I had the profiterole! I know I've said it before but I really love the texture of the cream that TWG uses for all their patisseries. For this I think it was slightly cinnamon flavored? For the fraisier I had last time it was almond flavored. For their Paris-Brest they have a delicious matcha flavored cream ♥

This time I tried Timeless tea, it's a black tea infused with hibiscus ♥

I love the long escalator in ION Orchard, when you look up from the bottom it's like an escalator to heaven! I took this picture when I was reaching the top...I was fumbling in my bag searching for my camera.

A Slice of Heaven! ♥

Pâtisserie Glacé's Strawberry Soufflé! ♥

It's amazingly heavenly, the best strawberry soufflé/strawberry pâtisserie I've ever had: the strawberries were delicious, and the soufflé was super moist and tasty. And this is considering that I bought this at 3pm, carried it around town in my hand, (unwittingly swinging it and damaging/causing a side to flatten ^^) and only put it in the fridge at 1230am. Ate it at 2am and it was still surprisingly amazing. I ate it sooo slowly, dreading the fact that with eat bite taken was a bite closer to its disappearance TT

Their baumkuchen is yummy too! ♥ Sweet and moist, not too oily/greasy. I. NEED. MORE!! ♥

I go to the Tanjong Pagar branch at Icon Village, and sadly they don't have a sit-in/dine-in area, it's just a stand/store front. But all their pâtisseries look sooo good. Shall try the montblanc next and grab another soufflé! ♥ Their pâtisseries are mostly French/Japanese fusion, hence they're quite light and easy to stomach, meaning you can buy and eat many at a go mwahahaha! ♥

Favorite tea place in Singapore, TWG Tea ♥

This time I tried the iced Snow Mountain tea. It's a fruity red tea I think? Anyway my favorite teas that always I buy home to brew are Charlemagne and Silver Moon. Silver Moon is a green tea blended with strawberries, it's light and sweet; while Charlemagne is a blend of green and white teas, with strawberries and roses ♥

My favorite pâtisserie (other than tiramisu), frasier! ♥ I love strawberries, and the génoise sponge cake and almond cream go perfectly with them to form this delectable goody~ And look at all the strawberries mwahahaha ♥

Raspberry mousse that my friend ordered. A bit sour for my liking but well-made nonetheless.

Profiterole! ♥ This has a cinnamon-ish cream filling, yummy! I have a long looong way to go before I can make profiteroles like this!

TWG also has a really yummy matcha-almond cream filling which it uses in its Paris-Brest, however I haven't seen it in stores in ages and I'm not sure if they serve it anymore :( But there's this matcha pastry with strawberries that's worth trying. And everybody loves the Singapore Sling, which it like a crème brûlée cake filled with berries ^^

Ooh and their tea-infused macarons are delicious too! And the tea jelly that's served with scones/madeleines/financiers is really tasty, especially the vanilla bourbon one.

Although as a tea itself vanilla bourbon is a bit chocolatey and not to my liking, when used in food/baked goods it's really great! Made mini cupcakes with them and the taste was ♥♥

A 50gram packet of tea costs around $7 for most regular teas (Geisha Blossom, Fruit Mountain, Alexandria, Vanilla Bourbon, Silver Moon etc) Charlemagne is around $14 per 50 grams, but it's really good, my favorite tea ever!
