Mizukitty x Eyemazing = Sweet Ribbon

Spotted while browsing the Popteen store: a new series of lashes! Popteen model Nishikawa Mizuko (西川瑞希), more known to readers as Mizukitty, teamed up with Eyemazing to produce a series of lashes called Sweet Ribbon~ There are 4 types in the series, which will be released in Japan on 8th June, priced at 1,260yen for a pack of 3pairs.

No. 301 - テッパンみずきてぃeye

Teppan Mizukitty Eye

I like fusion lashes like these; denser and longer on the outer ends ♥ IMO this seems the most unique and promising out of the lot. Wanna try these the most!

No. 302 - チョンチョン系 甘タレ目

Chonchon Sweet Droopy Eye (chonchon-kei ama tareme)

Sole pair of lower lashes in the series. Looks really sweet, I wanna try these too~

No. 303 - すっきりナチュデカeye

Clear Natural Big Eye (sukkiri nachu-deka eye)

This looks somewhat like Dolly Wink No.1? But a denser, less feathery version. And one of the EyeLabo designs (can't remember which)

No. 304 - オトナな目尻まつげ

Adult Partial Lashes (otona na mejiri matsuge)

Partial/accent lashes for the corner of the eye. Seems a tad similar to the Takako Style No.11 Celeb Nude which I've got so I probably won't be getting this ^^

Overall the series looks really cute, quite suitable for the sweet/dolly/girly make styles. I'd really want to try out No. 301 and 302~ ♥

Diamond Beauty Cream Cheeks + Cream Shadows

These lovelies caught my eye when I was reading the latest issue of Egg...Diamond Beauty Cream Cheeks and Diamond Beauty Cream Shadows! (≧ω≦) ♥ Sadly they were released on 1st June, a mere few days after I left so I wasn't able to pick up any...yet!

This summer, Diamond Beauty has come up with cream blushes and cream eyeshadows.

The Cream Shadows retail at 630yen and the Cream Cheeks at 840yen.

They are all Summer Limited Edition products.

First off, the Cream Cheeks クリームチーク, 840yen each.

There are 4 types, 2 pinks and 2 oranges.

Don't know about the texture or staying power of these, but I do think they'd be of decent quality seeing how great Diamond Beauty's other products are! The Diamond Blushes and Diamond Lashes are certain great in terms of both quality and economy so I'm sure the Cream Cheeks and Cream Shadows will be too! q(`･ω･´ )p ♥

The colors for all the cream cheeks look promising to me, (really my kind of colors!) and I'd really like to be able to get my hands on them, so I'm gonna start scouring online for sources~! ♥

Tokyo summary

Went to Tokyo for a few days, so this is a just summary! In-depth posts will come in the following days. The crowds at lot of places still seemed a tad empty.

I stayed at Ikebukuro, which is roughly a 15-minute train ride away from Shinjuku/ Harajuku/ Shibuya. There are actually A LOT of department stores (Tobu, Seibu, Parco, Lumine, OIOI) right beside the station and many shops around Ikebukuro. It's the 2nd busiest station in Tokyo and the world (the 1st being Shinjuku), with 8 different subway lines running in the station and an average of 2.7million passengers daily.

After landing and checking in, I wandered mostly around Ikebukuro. If you don't want to jostle with the crowds at Shibuya 109, a lot of gal brands have stores in Parco's B2F and B1F! Brands like:

And on the last day before I left, near the subway exit into Parco there was a Liz Lisa bargain corner/booth set up there, lots of things going for up to 50% off! Buutt, it was my last day, I had no cash left, and that booth did not accept credit card. The main store accepts card, but the makeshift booth didn't and I couldn't take the stuff, drag it to the Liz Lisa store in the basement and pay there :( So no more Liz Lisa for me :(

There were around 4 Matsumoto Kiyoshi stores within the vicinity of the station, and at the East exit there's even a Donkihote. If you want to get false lashes or drugstore cosmetics, go to Donki ♥ A LOT of items are discounted, and they stock a HUUUGE variety of goods. The store is packed like a storeroom/warehouse, with goods filling the stores from floor to ceiling. Totally cluttered and not for the claustrophobic~ Great place to explore. Some brands even have Donki-exclusive items, and some lash brands are sold only at Donki. A Donki post will be coming up!

Harajuku for Takeshita Doori mostly ♥

Clothes at Takeshita Doori are inexpensive and great! The quality is not bad either. I really should've bought more T_T At the end of Takeshita Doori is Meiji Doori, where there's a Forever 21 and H&M next to each other. Will do a post on Takeshita Doori soon~

Near the intersection of Meiji Doori and Omotesando Doori at around Laforet, (where the railings on the sidewalk start) a lot of photographers/magazines staff like to lurk/sit around I think? The two times in two days (one weekday and one weekend) that I walked past that same area I was approached by 3 asking whether I wanted to be a 読者 model or whether they could take street snaps haha.

Fancy Pocket has unbelievably cheap hair accessories. It's targeted mostly at junior high students I think, but I can wear some of the stuff! Will do a post on my haul (: Opposite it is SBY Happy Room, a store that sells a lot of gyaru items ♥

Shibuya for the Donki, 109 and Sentaagai. I actually didn't get to go around as much as I would've liked, as my arms felt like they were losing their feeling and gonna come off! (And with all the bags, no free hands to take photos either!) Even with a lot of the stores having 10~20% sales, lots of the clothing brands were still quite pricey.

This was all the stuff I bought that day (Harajuku+Shibuya), Liz Lisa was the last store I visited, I was carrying all the other bags and a tote bag when I was shopping in Liz Lisa. After that, I couldn't take it anymore and decided to go back. My arms and shoulders were in severe pain the following day^^

Shinjuku, unfortunately I only had ~2hours, not enough! (Went to Asakusa and Nippori before Shinjuku) The Donki here had lower prices compared the the Ikebukuro and Shibuya Donkis. It's also a more "tourist-friendly" Donki I suppose.

Shinjuku has lots of department stores (Isetan, Takashimaya, Mitsukoshi, OIOI, Keio, Odakyu, Lumine EST, Lumine 1, Lumine 2), the main branch of Kinokuniya (a bookstore, 8 storeys!), entertainment/red-light district of Kabikichou.

Nippori textile town, lots of fabric stores.

Asakusa, nice place to get souvenirs keychains.

Got crowded as lots students from other regions in Japan were visiting that day.

The streets off the main street are quieter, nice to browse if you don't like crowds.

(Too quiet for me!)

Inside the train is a good place to camwhore.

Especially during non-peak hours when it's quite empty!

Train stations are good too!

Fairy Lash ♥

Continuing my euphoria from lash paradise, here's introducing Fairy Lash, produced by Ageha model Sakurai Rina 桜井莉菜, known to most as Sakurina.

Each pack contains 2 pairs and retails for 1,050yen. Each pack also comes with a heart-shaped lash case, which while cute, isn't very practical if you buy a lot of boxes and end up with a lot of cases! Bought all of them from Donki.

There are 8 types in total, 4 from the first series (striped background) and 4 from the 2nd series (colorful background). Each series has 2 upper and 2 lower lashes. Here's starting off with the 2nd Flower series~ (I do very much like the new packaging)

バービーeye 下まつげ

Barbie Eye, a lower lash from the 2nd series.

It's basically a dupe of Diamond Lash Baby Eye, which also retails for 1,050yen but for 5 pairs. Also a dupe of Nature is Lovely S-2, which retails at 498yen for 3 pairs. All have clear lash bands, but Diamond Lash and Nature is Lovely have thicker lash strands.

セレブeye 上まつげ

Celeb Eye, upper lash from the 2nd series.

Strands are very long, thin and curled. Somewhat like some Ardell lashes I've got. Price is similar if you consider the per pair price, but these have cuter packaging! But not my style are the strands are too thin ^^ For longer lashes I like 'em thick.

セクシーeye 下まつげ

Sexy Eye, lower lash from the 2nd series.

It's like a dupe of Diamond Lash Cute Eye from the Volume series, same price but 5 pairs. Or even Jewerich No.3 which retails at 2pairs for 980yen. Slightly cheaper but I like the Jewerich packaging more cos it's got a floral backing! ♥

ブライトeye 上まつげ

Bright Eye, upper lash from the 2nd series.

Somewhat similar to Dolly Wink No.1 but denser and less feathery? However the focus is the thicker points in the center/pupil area as opposed to Dolly Wink's focus at the outer ends. One of the slightly more unique designs.

小悪魔eye 上まつげ

Koakuma Eye, upper lash from the 1st series.

I've seen a lot of designs similar to this from Korean brands like Darkness/Shisem and random brand-less lashes etc...and it has a thick black lash band so a no-no for me!

JEWELeye 上まつげ

Jewel Eye, upper lash from the 1st series.

Very long, thin, curled strands. Not much separation or volume, so it's not my kind of lash!

WINGeye 下まつげ

Wing Eye, lower lash from the 1st series.

Gradated thickness from inner end to outer end, but an otherwise common-ish type of straight lower lashes which can be easily found. Decorative Lash, random brand-less lower end lashes etc.

DOLLeye 下まつげ

Doll Eye, lower lash from the 1st series.

Also has gradated thickness from inner end to outer end. Haven't really seen many lower lashes so separated like this, so this is probably the most unique pair amongst the 8 Fairy Lash types. The closest I can think of would be Eyemazing 202, which is less dense and doesn't retain the triangular/pointy style all the way.

To me, Fairy Lash isn't a must-get unless you're a die-hard Sakurina fan. I wouldn't buy them...because (a) Most of the lash designs are extremely similar to Diamond Lash, which retail for the same price but come with 5pairs instead of Fairy Lash's 2pairs. Or if not Diamond Lash, other already existing, more affordable choices out there; and (b) The designs really are, sad to say, nothing unique.

However the cases are cute, good if you're buying your first box! But if you're intending to keep repurchasing, I think you'll end up with waaay too many boxes!
