Diamond Beauty Cream Shadow Swatches ♥

Swatches of the Diamond Beauty Cream Shadows I got~ There are 4 shades available, but I only got two - 01 Pink Gold (ピンクゴールド) and 02 Nudy Gold (ヌーディゴールド). These retail for 630yen (~S$10/US$7.80). I paid S$13 for them, as a friend's friend helped get them while she was in Tokyo.

Ingredients:
Isotridecyl isononanoate, squalane, dimethicone, dextrin palmitate, vinyl dimethicone/methicone silsesquioxane crosspolymer, polyglyceryl-2 triisostearate, sorbitan sesquistearate, dimethecone/vinyl dimethicone crosspolymer, dimethylsilyl silica, tocopherol, phystosteryl/octydodecyl lauroyl gluatamate, diisostearyl malate, hydrogen dimethicone, mica, titanium oxide, red-226, yellow-4, barium sulphate, iron oxide, borosilicate (calcium/aluminium),

Made in Japan. Although it's called Diamond Beauty Cream Shadow, there's a line below it saying [Face Color] so you can safely use it all over your face should you desire to do so.

Left to right: 02 Nudy Gold (ヌーディゴールド) and 01 Pink Gold (ピンクゴールド)

I don't really use cream shadows, but thought these would make nice base colors (: Hence my choice of colors. The other two colors available were 03 Brilliant Gold (ブリリアントゴールド) and 04 Mint Gold (ミントゴールド).

01 Pink Gold (ピンクゴールド)

At first glance you might think that it'd make a nice blush too...but it's actually kinda too shimmery/frosty for my liking for a blush^^ It is a pretty, bright and uplifting color though. Good for browbone highlighting. The glitter bits are pretty abundant. They're multi-colored and iridescent so it looks pretty under light!

02 Nudy Gold (ヌーディゴールド)

Great as a base color on eyelids. But the effect varies depending on the angle of the light. As with Pink Gold, this has a lot of glitter bits, which sparkle like craaaazy unlight bright light. The glitter particles are iridescent and multi-colored.

Left to right: 02 Nudy Gold and 01 Pink Gold

Different angle with respect to lighting.
The frostiness and glitter chunks really show^^
These swatches are all 2-3 layers.
When just thin layers, colors hardly show and all you see is glitter.

Verdict?
I still don't really like using cream eyeshadows, my eyelids are tiny and I'm not particularly fond of the rather large glitter bits^^ But the glitter particles really do sparkle brilliantly (especially the ones in Pink Gold) so it would be great if you wanna look like diamond under sunlight. But oily lids + humidity = recipe for disaster, so I don't think it's working too well in Singapore's weather.

Repurchase?
Probably not. Though the glitters sparkle brilliantly, the colors themselves don't really show unless you layer a bit. But I can't say anything about Brilliant Gold or Mint Gold as I don't have them. These are summer limited edition and are sold on the Diamond Beauty online store and in SBY stores, so they're kind of hard to get anyway for people like me who don't reside in Japan.

For the Diamond Beauty Cream items, I LOOVE the Cream Cheeks, but the Cream Shadows are so-so for me, just because they have too much glitter^^

  1. Hello Karisa,

Thanks for the swatches! Love rare Japanese cosmetic review like these <3

The cream eyeshadow does remind me of Canmake cream blushers and these packaging looks really appealing. Too bad as you mentioned, the colours do not show up well and it is such a pity. The amount of glitter is insane :O

  2. I was just looking for something like this! As the comment above says, it really resembles Canmake! I wish it came as a palette though :(

    Hi! (:
Hehe the Diamond beauty Cream Cheeks really resembles the Canmake cream blushers! I really didn't expect the cream shadows to be this glittery, in all the promo pictures they looked pearly at most^^

The clear plastic packaging is really similar right? (: I'm glad to see that Diamond Beauty is branching out into making different types of cosmetics now, hope to see them come out with palettes someday!
